ST KILDA FILM FESTIVAL 2011 ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN! St Kilda Film Festival short film competition SoundKILDA Australian music video competition Have you made a short film or a music video recently? Would you like the opportunity to have your film screened as part of Australia's Top 100 short films of the year...or your video included in SoundKILDA - Australia’s only dedicated competition for music videos? St Kilda Film Festival screens Australian short films in all genres including drama, comedy, documentary, animation and digital media. In 2011 the competition will screen the top 100 short film entries received, and the competition is fierce! The short film competition awards over $40,000 worth of cash and in-kind craft awards, including a $10,000 prize for Best Short Film! The Festival Also features the SoundKILDA Australian music video competition. READ THE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND TERMS & CONDITIONS THEN ENTER BY FILLING IN THE RELEVANT FORM. terms & conditions 1. Only Australian entries are eligible for the St Kilda Film Festival competition. St Kilda Film Festival is open to all film genres. If you are unsure of eligibility, please contact the Festival office on 03 9209 6490 or email filmfest@portphillip.vic.gov.au 2. The producer grants the St Kilda Film Festival the rights to: (a) Exhibit the film in the St Kilda Film Festival and any subsequent tour (b) Reproduce the film for inclusion as part of a compilation (c) Exhibit the production either in part or in total for promotional purposes 3. The producer warrants to the St Kilda Film Festival that they have obtained all the necessary permissions to enter this film and that the film does not infringe the rights, including copyright, of any third party. This includes use of music and literary (ie if your film is based on a novel or poem). 4. Entries will not be considered valid until the entry fee has been paid 5. Entries must be received or postmarked by 5pm, Friday 28 January 2011 6. Entries may not be withdrawn after 18th March 2011 7. If your film is selected for the competition you will be sent a letter of confirmation by 1st April 2011. Film Prints, tape masters or DVDs must be received by 22nd April 2011. 8. Materials submitted in the initial entry process will not be returned. Screening copies of films selected to screen in the Top 100 will be returned to the nominated address on the entry form after the Festival. Please make sure this address is correct and if any details change please email us at filmfest@portphillip.vic.gov.au 9. The St Kilda Film Festival will pay for the return of participating films for the Festival within Australia. Forwarding of prints to international destinations will be at the filmmaker’s expense. Forwarding films to the Festival is the responsibility of the filmmaker. 10. Whilst the St Kilda Film Festival will take due care of prints or tapes entered, the Festival will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage to prints, DVDs or tapes while they are in the possession of the Festival or any of the cinemas hosting the Festival or the National Tour. 11. The St Kilda Film Festival will tour a selection of films featured in the Festival nationally in July through to September 2011. All films entered in the St Kilda Film Festival must be available for touring. Tour films will be returned after the tour concludes. 12. The St Kilda Film Festival will only screen productions finished on 35mm, 16mm, Digibeta, HDCAM and DVD. We do NOT screen from Beta SP. To ensure your entry is screened correctly, you must include screening gauge and ratio details as requested on the entry form. |
