The brilliant Stanley Baker plays ex-con truck driver Tom who gets a job working for a none too reputable haulage company and very quickly crosses swords with Patrick McGoohan who sees himself very much as top dog. Hell Drivers is a real gem, lots of action, pacey dialogue and a veritable who's who of prime British male acting talent of the day including a young Sean Connery, Herbert Lom, Gordon Jackson, Sid James, David McCallum and William Hartnell. The two disc set features some high quality extras too including the original trailer, a contemporary interview with Stanley Baker, a look at the making of the movie, an episode of Patrick McGoohan's hugely popular series Danger Man and best of all the 1975 TV play Who Killed Lamb which starred Stanley Baker and is often mistakenly billed as an episode of Thriller. Danger Man (titled Secret Agent, Destination Danger and John Drake in non-UK markets) is a British television series that was broadcast between 1960 and 1962, and again between 1964 and 1968. The series featured Patrick McGoohan as secret agent John Drake.
