Leader’s Win Big this Christmas promotion is now in its fourth and final week and we have 33 $100 Village Cinemas gift cards to give away.

Entries close at 9am on Friday, December 24 and entries will be judged at noon the same day.

In the first week of the promotion we gave away 85 1.5m (5ft) trees, each valued at $169, and 85 1.8m (6ft) trees, each valued at $249, from Christmas Kingdom.

During the second week of the promotion 33 lucky winners each got a $100 Woolworths voucher

Terms & Conditions – Leader Win Big This Christmas Promotion

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions of entry.

2. The Promoter is Leader Associated Newspapers Pty Ltd, 1-7 Chapel Street Blackburn Vic 3130. ABN: 34 004 337 446.

3. The promotion is known as the “Leader Win Big This Christmas” promotion.

4. Entry is available to Victorian residents who reside within the Leader Newspapers distribution area. Employees of the Promoter or its associated companies, employees of any agencies, affiliates, sponsors, sub-sponsors or representatives of the Promoter and the immediate families of any such employees are not eligible to enter.

5. Only one entry permitted per person per week for four weeks.

6. Leader Newspapers’ privacy policy is available by visiting www.leadernews.com.au and following the relevant links.

7. Promotion commences at 9.00am AEDT on 29/11/2010 and finishes at 9.00am AEDT on 24/12/2010 (“promotion period”).

8. This promotion will be advertised in all Leader newspapers and online during the promotion period.

9. Consumers can enter via the following method:

a. Internet – Visit www.leadernews.com.au and complete the online entry form. Online entry form will require address, contact numbers, email address details, date of birth and the title of the entrant’s local Leader newspaper. Entrants will need to tell us in 25 words or less about their favourite place to celebrate Christmas locally and why.

10. The promotion is one of a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. All eligible entries will be judged on the following criteria:

a. Creativity
b. Inclusion of a local location

11. There will be four judging sessions during the promotion period. All judging will take place at the office of Leader Associated Newspapers Pty Ltd, 1-7 Chapel Street Blackburn Vic 3130.

12. The best 170 valid entries judged at 12.00pm on 06/12/2010 will each win a 5ft or 6ft Bavarian Christmas tree. 5ft trees are valued at $AUD169.00 each and 6ft trees are valued at $AUD249.00 each. Sizes of trees will be randomly allocated to winners. Total value of this prize is $AUD35,530.

Winners will need to collect their trees from one of three locations. Winners will need to phone their preferred location first before collecting their trees.

The best 33 valid entries judged at 12.00pm on 13/12/2010 will each win a Woolworths gift card valued at $AUD100. Total value of this prize is $AUD3,300. Gift cards will be distributed to the winners by mail.

13. Total prize pool value is $AUD45,430.

17. Leader Newspapers is not responsible for any technical malfunctions or problems with internet or network congestion, including injury or damage to the participant’s or any other person’s computer which may affect participation in this promotion or transmission of entries over the internet.

18. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for late, lost, misdirected entries or entries sent but not received by Leader. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter.

19. Unclaimed prizes will be awarded to runner-up entries three months after the judging at 12.00pm on Monday 07/03/2011 at the office of Leader Associated Newspapers Pty Ltd, 1-7 Chapel Street Blackburn Vic 3130. Winners will be contacted in writing within 7 days of judging taking place and winners will be published in all Leader newspapers on week commencing 14/03/2011.

20. Prizes are non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash of any kind and must be taken as offered. No responsibility is taken for the winner’s loss of the prize.

21. The Promoter and companies associated with this promotion shall not be liable for any additional costs involved as a result of taking the prize.

22. The Promoter and companies associated with this promotion shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including by not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of taking the prize.

23. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster the Promoter reserves the right (subject to all relevant state and territory regulations) to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.

24. The personal information supplied to Leader Newspapers is for the purpose of entering this competition only and may not be used by us or any of our Australian related companies for future marketing and publicity purposes.
