1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry.

2. Employees of the promoter and their immediate family, agencies and companies associated with this promotion and persons under 18 years of age, are ineligible to enter.

3. Entries for Australian residents only.

4. Entries close last data received on the last Friday of the month. The draw will take place at 10 am on the second Wednesday of the month thereafter at the Promoter, 7/121A Old Pittwater Road, BROOKVALE NSW 2100, AUSTRALIA. Winners will be notified by email and their names published in www.naturallife.com.au/competition on second Friday of the month thereafter.

5. Entries close for the first draw on Friday 31 December 2010 and the first draw on Wednesday 12 January 2011. Entries close for the last draw on Friday 25 February 2011 and the last draw on Wednesday 9 March 2011.

6. There are 20 bottles of Natural Life Propolis to be won at each draw per month for 3 months from 1 December 2010. Each winner will win two bottles. Competition closes on 25 February 2011. Total prize is 60 bottles valued at $3,600 inclusive of GST.

7. For unclaimed prizes, a redraw will be conducted on Thursday 9 June 2011.

8. The Promoter, its employees, contractors and Agents shall not be liable for and shall be held harmless for any loss, damage, injury or another claim whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) suffered or sustained as a result of or arising from person(s) participating in this Promotion and associated publicity or in utilising one of the prizes.

What is Propolis?

Propolis has been around for over 45 million years, and has been used by man for thousands of years. Propolis is a sticky resin, which seeps from the buds of certain trees. The bees gather propolis, sometimes called “bee glue” and carry it home in their pollen baskets. The worker bees then take the resinous material and add salivary secretions and wax flakes to it and use the bee propolis in two ways: firstly to reinforce the hive itself, and secondly propolis protects the hive from bacterial and viral infection.

What is Propolis made from?

Propolis consists of 55% resinous compounds and balsams, 30% beeswax, 10% aromatic oils, 5% bee pollen.  Chemically, propolis is exceedingly complex and contains a rich variety of potent terpenes and benzoic, caffeic, cinnamic, and phenolic acids.  Propolis is very high in flavanoid content, which has been proven to account for many of the health giving benefits attributed to propolis.
