Terms & Conditions

1. Entry is open to all Australian residents who are aged 18 years or over except employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, its associated companies, suppliers, distributors, participating retailers and agents are not eligible to enter. 

2. To be eligible to enter, you must spend $100 or more at your local AIS store to enter the draw for a chance to win the Quintrex 400 Hornet Trophy, Safety Equipment Kit, Boat & Trailer Registration, Trailer, Aux Fuel Tank, Mercury 40 ELH EFI 4 Stroke, Battery, and fishing gear (hereafter referred to as “the boat”) valued at $24,710, or one of 114 $100 AIS gift vouchers (1 per store) valued at $11,400 between Monday 25th October 2010 to Midday Friday December 31st 2010. Total prize value nationally will be $36,110.

3. One entry per purchase of $100 or more per day.

4. To enter, individuals must then correctly complete the original official entry form available at store and provide a proof of purchase. Any entry forms that are incorrect, incomplete, indecipherable or illegible will be deemed invalid.

5. The draw for the chance to win the boat will take place at each store on Thursday January 6th 2011. All selected entrants from this draw will be notified that they are in the draw for the major prize, a chance to win the boat or a $100 gift voucher. The draw will take place at AIS stores in 114 Locations Australia Wide with 33 stores in NSW, 30 in VIC, 25 in QLD, 9 in SA, 7 in TAS, 7 in WA, 2 in NT, and 1 in the ACT.

6. The Major Draw to win the boat will take place at Australian Industrial Supplies Limited Level 1 Unit 9 Brooklyn Business Park 640-680 Geelong Rd Brooklyn VIC 3012 on Friday 14th January 2011 at 10.30am. The draw will be conducted by an independent person in the presence of Group Manager, AIS store representative and Staff. The winner of this draw shall receive the Boat, and all other entrants in the main prize draw will receive a $100 AIS Gift voucher.

7. The winner will be randomly selected from the correct entries into the competition.

8. The major prize winner will be notified by phone, in writing and results published in The Australian Friday January 21st 2011.

9. The prize shall be delivered to the winners nearest Quintrex Dealer.

10. Any unclaimed prizes shall be redrawn on Thursday April 14th 2011 at 10.30am at Australian Industrial Supplies Limited Level 1 Unit 9 Brooklyn Business Park 640-680 Geelong Rd Brooklyn VIC 3012. The redrawn prizewinner will be notified by phone, in writing and results will be published in the Australian Friday April 22nd 2011 if needed.

11. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

12. Prizes are not exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. 13. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following:
(a) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
(b) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions;
(c) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or
(d) use of a prize.

14. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to its members/ stores. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

15. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
