The 20 finalist will be selected the following way:

20 people will be randomly selected to enter the final of the competition. You can multiply your chances of winning by recommending your friends, family and colleagues, for every person that you recommend and registers in our competition you will receive one extra entry into the draw, you will also receive an extra entry into the competition for every voucher purchase you make during the promotional period. The more people you register the higher your chances to enter the final and WIN. The 20 finalists drawn will proceed to the next phase of the competition for the chance to win one of the 20 holidays. Winning of a major prize will be dependent on the individual skills of each contestant. At least 1 major prize will be given away on the day of the draw, all unsuccessful finalists will receive a $50 Voucher to be used at www.dupon.com.au to purchase any of our deals. REMEMBER! All twenty participants can win a holiday!!!

Additional Terms & Conditions

Time frame and place of the Competition

The competition pre launch will comence on the 13th of December 2010 with the following guidelines
a.The competition will run for 6 weeks  (42 Days) from the official launch date of the website http://www.dupon.com.au/ (the date refered to is when you are able to purchase vouchers from the webpage)
b.The Competition will be held in Sydney  and phase 1 winners will be notified via email 14 days prior the competition date and will be notified of a time and place phase 2 of the competition will be held

Participation in the competition

a.Only Australian permanent residents older than 18 years old  (hereinafter refered to as “participant”) can register in the competition.

b.During the competition, the participant will obtain entries to the competition (All entries are non transferable) the following ways:

1-Register to receive our Dupon Australia daily newsletter via email (1 entry)

2-Refer a friend, after registering you may refer a friend to the competiton by filling in the refer a friend form and for each person you refer and they choose to register you will receive 1 extra entry in to the competition (refered people must meet entry conditions)

3-once the http://www.dupon.com.au/ website has launched you can purchase any of our vouchers. For each voucher purchased you will receive 1 extra entry

5.Course and principle of the competition

a.The Phase 2 final for the 20 Randomly selected Participants is based on the skill principle. The 20 finalists will receive the detailed information and principles of the final part of the competition at the Venue selected by the Organizer. The fundamental factor of the phase 2 final is based on a demonstration of physical ability,which involves throwing a Ball.

b.If the participant is unable to attend a relative or any person able to do so can Substitute on behalf of the Participant based on a written authorization accompanied by photo Identification (hereinafter only the “substitute”). Should the substitute be successful, the prize would be Given directly to the original Participant.

Prizes

a.Major prize: a voucher in the value of $2,500 AUD for the use at Virgin Holidays http://www.virginblue.com.au/Holidays/index.htm.

b.Constilation prize for phase 2 participants that do not win a major prize is a $50.00 AUD Dupon Australia Voucher that can be used on our website http://www.dupon.com.au/

Use of the prize
All prizes won in the competition cannot be redeamed for cash.
e.The organizer is entitled, without compensation, to change or modify the rules of the competition or to suspend, withdraw, terminate or change/add the rules. A short version of the rules can be stated on promotional materials in relation to the competition; however, these complete rules are deemed the only complete rules in the framework of the competition. The decision of the organizer regarding objections should be striclty followed. All of the personal data acquired after the date of the competition termination will not be retained for longer than is required for purposes for which the information may lawfully be used.

mmm...At first this sounds like there are 20 holidays to be won valued at 2,500 each. When in fact there is 1 holiday and I think 19 $50 vouchers. Then you have to go to there chosen venue to throw a ball to win. Is that right??

from what i can tell there is a minimum of 1 holiday to be won and a maximum of 20. Finalists will go to where-ever they are told to go by the promoter (at their own expense i assume :? ) to do some kind of activity that they are not naming for a chance to win (probably pick a ball out of a 1000 balls or something with 1 being the holiday ball and the rest getting you a voucher)

And the end, assuming that no one managed to pick the right ball (or whatever it is they have to do) they'll do a random draw and give a holiday to one of the people. If someone does win a holiday with the activity i would assume there would be no random draw for everyone else.

Just the simple fact of not knowing where i'd be expected to travel to for the very slim chance of winning the holiday is enough to say i won't bother entering this comp  :?

I'd say it's more like you have to hit a golf ball for hole in one or throw a strike with a bowling ball - everyone who does it gets a holiday - if no one does it then the one who is nearest to the pin or hits the most pins over wins the holiday.

It does say it that it involves skill with a ball so I can't see how it would be a random draw.

[UPDATE] After reading it again it does say skill with throwing a ball - so it might be like throwing through a hole in a target - if no-one does it then the closest to the hole wins.

Hey it does also say you can nominate another person to be there and do the entry for you...but the prize still goes to you  :D We're bound to have a fellow comper at wherever it is who'd be more than happy to help!! Could be fun  8)
