The storyline that is unfolding before your eyes has already unfolded in real life. Which is exactly what makes Catfish so compelling. Directors Ariel Schuman and Henry Joost follow Ariel’s brother Nev as he builds a relationship with 8 year old Abby, who has created a painting of one of Nev’s photos. As Nev then connects with Abby’s mother, Angela and half-sister Megan through Facebook, he becomes intertwined with the family and forms a more intimate relationship with Megan. The twist that comes next takes the documentary from funny and lovable to a breathtaking reality thriller. It’s being released in cinemas nationally on January 26th.
