Enter our summer photo competition 20 Dec, 2010 01:00 AM Maybe you're a spontaneous snapper who loves capturing life's moments on camera everywhere you go, or a thoughtful artist who prefers to spend hours setting up each shot. Either way, you could be up for some spectacular prizes if you enter this year's The Canberra Times Summer Photo Competition. Last year's winner, Helene Dawson, managed to encapsulate everything she loved about summer, holidays and family, in a beautiful image of her daughters standing on a beach at sunset in Broome. Although she described herself at the time as an amateur photographer, it was her love of her subjects, and the feeling she put into capturing them, that shone through and won the competition. It could be you this year, if you can manage to sum up summer on film. Just send in three of your best shots to be in the running to win thousands of dollars worth of camera gear up for grabs this year, and you could even see your work published in the meantime. To enter, email entries (limit of three photographs per person) as attached jpeg files to: photocomp@canberratimes.com.au and include your name, phone number, and details for each photograph including a title, description and the date it was taken. Entries close at 4pm on January 21, with winners to be announced Friday, January 28. The Canberra Times will publish selected entries during the next five weeks. |
