Win $1,000 'Great Aussie Meat Pie Challenge'

Cazalys is gearing up for the best Australia Day in Cairns yet!

The day will kick off with a family fun day held in the Allen Aylett room from 11am, just in case it's another rainy Australia Day! Flip the Clown and The Bopstars will be entertaining during the day, along with our great mates from The Capta Group who will be bringing in some Australian animals to make friends with. Capta will also be raffling tickets to some of there great local attractions to raise money for COUCH (raising money for the Oncology Unit at Cairns Hospital). There will also be movies & games, face painting plus a jumping castle and slide.

The jewel in the crown of this Australia Day will be the 'Great Aussie Meat Pie Challenge' from 12:30pm sponsored by Mannings Pies. Man will Vs Stomach in a battle to win $1,000 cash. Stay tuned to Sea FM in the weeks leading up to the day for entry details if you think you have what it takes!

Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions.
2. The competition is open to persons who are 18 years of age or older Employees and their immediate families
of the Promoter, and their agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible.
3. The prize is one winner of $1000.00.
4. There is two ways to enter. (1) Sea FM cairns will conduct a SMS draw. Sea FM are responsible for the
conception, conduction and terms and conditions of this entry method. Sea FM terms and conditions will form
part of this terms and conditions. (2) Additional entries will be awarded on the event day. Prospective
entrants must fill in an entrant form and place into barrel prior to 12.30pm. Sea FM will draw out winners from
12.30pm.
5. SMS entrants must present themselves to the Sea FM crew between 11am and 12 noon. The SMS entrants
will receive a number. SMS entrants will need to line up between the DOSA and field fences at 12.15pm. Sea
FM crew will direct entrants onto stage 10 at a time from 12.25pm.
6. Additional entrant winners will need to present themselves to the SeaFM crew and they will be given a
number. Entrants will need to line up between the DOSA and field fences directly. Sea FM crew will direct
entrants onto stage 10 at a time. The qty of additional entrants will be determined on the day depending on
timing.
7. Stage 1 of the contest. From 12.30pm to 1.30pm entrants in rounds of 10 at a time will be asked onto the
stage. Each contestant will be given one pie. The announcer will tell the entrants to commence eating pie.
Once the entrant has completed eating pie the entrant must raise hands and open mouth. Once official is
satisfied that the pie has been fully consumed the official will stop the time clock.
8. At 1.30pm the announcer will announce the top 10 quickest times. These contestants will be expected to be
on stage at 1.40pm for a 1.50pm grand final.
9. Stage 2 Grand Final. Each contestant will be given three pie’s. The announcer will tell the entrants to
commence eating pie’s. Once the entrant has completed eating all three pie’s the entrant must raise hands
and open mouth. Once official is satisfied that the pie’s has been fully consumed the official will stop the time
clock. The grand final winner will win $1,000.00 and a trophy.
10. The Judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned Cazalys Cairns reserves the right in its
sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, including to disqualify any individual
who tampers with the entry process. The Promoter will take all necessary steps to ensure that entries are
properly recorded and stored, but will accept no liability if an entry is not recorded or is lost.
12. Prizes are not transferable.
13. Cazalys Cairns reserves the right to request the winners to show evidence of identity and age at any time
before the prize is awarded. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the
Promoter.
14. Cazalys Cairns shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not
limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, except for any
liability which cannot be excluded by law.
15. The promoter collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information
requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By entering the promotion, unless
otherwise advised by the entrant, each entrant also consents to the information they submit (with their
membership form) being entered into a database and that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose
it to other organisations that may use it, or any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity
purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant including sending the
entrant electronic messages.
16. Entrants consent to Cazalys Cairns using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they
are a winner (incl. photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time
without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting
any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by Cazalys Cairns.
17. All Cazalys Cairns members are bound by our privacy statement as follows: Details for the membership
database are collected through Cazalys Cairns. Information is used to process membership applications and
enhance in club experiences. Cazalys may monitor purchasing behaviour in order to enhance all aspects of
the Cazalys experience. Cazalys Cairns advocate the responsible consumption of alcohol and responsible
gambling.
18. Cazalys Cairns Management’s decisions in regards to the promotion are final, no correspondence will be
entered into.
