Confectionery – Instant Win Scratch Card in Coles Express
Terms and Conditions

1 Information on how to enter & prizes form part of these terms & conditions. Any entry not
complying with these terms and conditions is invalid.
2 Entry is open to residents of Australia. Employees of the Promoter, the Promoter’s associated
companies, the Promoter’s agencies associated with this competition and their immediate
families are ineligible to enter.
3 The Promotion starts at 12.01am Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time (“AEDST”) on
Thursday 20th January 2011 and closes at 11.59pm AEDST on Wednesday 2nd March 2011
(“Promotion Period”). Instant prizes must be claimed by no later than Wednesday 9th
March 2011. Entry in the Unclaimed Prize Draw closes last mail received on Wednesday 9th
March 2011.
4 In order to participate in the “Scratch & Win” promotion, it is necessary to make an eligible
purchase. An “Eligible Purchase” is the purchase of any two Nestlé confectionery products (in
any combination) from any of the following product ranges:
a) Nestlé Medium Bar range (35g – 65g):
KIT KAT 4 Finger 45g; KIT KAT Dark 4 Finger 45g; KIT KAT Chunky 60g; KIT KAT
Chunky Cookie & Cream 65g; KIT KAT Chunky Caramel 65g; AERO Milk 40g; AERO
Peppermint 40g; CLUB Classic Bar 45g; ROLO 50g; SMARTIES Carton 50g; SMARTIES
with mini SMARTIES 50g; MILKYBAR 50g; CHOKITO 55g; PEPPERMINT CRISP 35g;
and MILO Bar 55g; and/or
b) ALLEN’S Medium Bag range (180g-250g):
Party Mix 190g; Party Mix Retro 190g; CHICOS 190g; MARELLA Jubes 190g;
Strawberries and Cream 190g; FROGS ALIVE 190g; Ripe Raspberries 190g; Jelly Beans
190g; SNAKES ALIVE 200g; SNAKES ALIVE Tropical 200g; KILLER PYTHON 4 pack
180g; MINTIES 200g; MILKO CHEWS 200g; FANTALES 180g; KOOL MINTS 220g;
MACKINTOSH’S Toffees 200g.
5 For a chance to win instantly or to enter the unclaimed prize draw, make an Eligible
Purchase to receive a scratch card from the cashier. Remove the panel to see if you have a
winning message. There will be seven types of messages hidden under the scratch card
panels:
a) “Congrats! You’ve won a Nestlé Medium Bar (35g-65g)” or
b) “Congrats! You’ve won a Nestlé King Size Bar (65g-80g)” or
c) “Congrats! You’ve won a Nestlé Confectionery Block (180g-200g)” or

d) “Congrats! You’ve won an ALLEN’S Medium Bag (180g-250g)” or
e) “Congrats! You’ve won a $20 Coles Express Gift Card” or
f) “Congrats! You’ve won a $50 Coles Express Gift Card” or
g) “Sorry Try Again – why not enter the Unclaimed Prize Draw”
6 To redeem an instant prize or enter the Unclaimed Prize Draw, follow these instructions:
a) Instant prize messages that say “Congrats! You’ve won a Nestlé (Medium Bar, King
Size Bar, Confectionery Block)” OR “Congrats! You’ve won an ALLEN’S Medium Bag” -
the prize must be claimed at any Coles Express store before Wednesday 9th March 2011.
The winning card must be surrendered to the Coles Express cashier when the prize is
claimed.
b) Instant prize messages that say “You have won a ($20 or $50) Coles Express Gift
Card” – the prize must be claimed by putting the original winning scratch card in an
envelope, and writing your first and last name, postal address and daytime telephone
number on the back of the envelope and sending it to: “Instant Prize Claim - Nestlé
Scratch & Win Promotion”, Reply Paid R2500, Royal Exchange NSW 1225. Prize claim
must be received by the Promoter’s handling house by no later than last mail received on
Wednesday 9th March 2011. The Promoter recommends that the winner keep a copy of
the winning message as no responsibility will be taken by the Promoter for lost or stolen
cards.
c) “Sorry Try Again - why not enter the Unclaimed Prize Draw” message – enter the
prize draw by putting the original scratch card in an envelope, and writing your first and
last name, postal address and daytime telephone number on the back of the envelope
and sending it to: “Unclaimed Prize Draw - Nestlé Scratch & Win Promotion”, Reply Paid
R2500, Royal Exchange NSW 1225. Entries must be received by no later than last mail
received on Wednesday 9th March 2011.
7 There are a total of 29,900 prizes that may be awarded instantly. The prizes are:
a) Nestlé and ALLEN’S confectionery prizes which must be redeemed in a Coles Express
store include:
i) 23,400 x Nestlé Medium Bars (35-65g) valued at up to $2.60 recommended retail price
(“RRP”)
ii) 4,000 x Nestlé King Size Bars (65g-80g) valued at up to $2.90 RRP
iii) 1,000 x ALLEN’S Medium Bags (180g-250g) valued at up to $3.70 RRP
iv) 1,000 x Nestlé Blocks (180g-200g) valued at up to $5.70 RRP
b) Coles Express Gift Card prizes which must be redeemed via mail include:
i) 300 x $20 Coles Express Gift Card
ii) 200 x $50 Coles Express Gift Card

Coles Express Gift cards can be redeemed for fuel and/or other in-store items at a Coles
Express outlet to the value specified in the winning message and will be valid for two
years from the date of issue. Coles Express Gift cards are subject to the issuer’s terms of
use which can be found at www.giftcards.com.au/termsofuse
8 The total prize pool is valued at up to $97,840 RRP.
9 The Unclaimed Prize Draw to award any Coles Express Gift Cards which have not been
claimed by Wednesday 9th March 2011 will be conducted at 12 noon on Wednesday 16th
March 2011 at Level 3, 201 Windmill Street Walsh Bay NSW 2000. The first valid entry drawn
from all entries received by the Promoter will win the prize of the highest value and the draw
will continue to award unclaimed prizes in descending order of value until all unclaimed Coles
Express Gift Card instant prizes have been awarded.
10 All winners of a Coles Express Gift Card prize awarded via the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be
notified by mail within 48 hours of the prize draw and their names and postcodes will be
published at www.nestle.com.au/winners
11 The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but
not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during
the course of accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by
law.
12 All entries become the property of the Promoter. All details will be held in accordance with the
Nestlé Privacy Policy which can be accessed by visiting www.nestle.com.au or calling 1800
005 510.
13 Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
14 Prize winners claiming a Coles Express Gift Card instant prize should allow 28 days from the
Promoter’s handling house receiving and validating the prize claim. Winners of a Coles
Express Gift Card awarded in the Unclaimed Prize draw should allow 28 days from the draw
date to receive their prize.
15 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of all instant prize claims and all entries in
the Unclaimed Prize Draw and reserves the right to disqualify any individual claimant or
entrant or group of entrants for tampering with the prize claim process or entry process,
including but not limited to fraudulently claiming an instant prize, sending an entry that is not

associated with an Eligible Purchase, or for submitting an entry that is not otherwise in
accordance with these terms and conditions of entry.
16 There will be a total of 29,900 winning messages hidden behind the scratch panel of
promotion scratch cards. Printing and other quality control errors will not invalidate an
otherwise valid prize claim. Scratch cards and winning messages are void if they are stolen,
forged, mutilated, torn, tampered with or otherwise rendered illegible in any way or they fail the
Promoter’s validation test. There will be a total of 330,000 instant scratch cards printed to be
distributed throughout the Promotion Period.
17 If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, whether caused by
infection by computer virus, line drop out, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud,
technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect
the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the promotion, the Promoter reserves the
right in its sole discretion, (subject to any written direction given by a relevant Regulatory
Authority), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. The Promoter may in its
sole discretion disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
