If like us you love a good western then you are going to find a huge amount to enjoy in the History Channel’s awesome The Real West Cowboys and Outlaws Ultimate Collection. It’s released on DVD this month and thanks to the lovely folk at Magna Home Entertainment we have five copies to give away!

Hosted by the venerable Kenny Rogers this four disc set pulls together eight fascinating docos exploring some of the legendary characters and stories from the days of the Old West. Outlaws like Billy The Kid and Jesse James and his gang as well as good guys like The Texas Rangers and Stephen F. Austin are all profiled. We also take a look the Smith and Wesson guns that were the number one weapon of choice for any outlaw worth his salt.

Each of the documentaries utilises real diary entries, from the time accounts, brilliant vintage photographs and commentary from wild west experts there are also extras in the shape of bios of Buffalo Bill, Wild Bill Hickok, Jesse James and The Texas Rangers, a guide to living life in the old west and a glossary of wild west slang.
