The charities in the race to win a Holden are Cancer Council WA, Carers WA and RSPCA.

Win 5 Holdens 2011 - Terms and Conditions
1) Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained within the promotional
advertisements form part of these terms and conditions. By participating, in this promotion
entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2) Subject to clause 23, entry is open to all residents of Western Australia over the age of 18. Photo
identification may be required upon collection of the prize.
3) Valid Entries
3.1 Valid entries must contain a coupon from The Weekend West, plus five coupons from any
weekday edition of The West Australian published in the week immediately following.
3.2 However, a valid entry can also consist of a coupon from The Weekend West, plus four coupons
from any weekday edition of The West Australian published in the week immediately following plus
one bonus coupon that is valid for any week of the promotion. Bonus coupons will be given out at 4
shopping centres across Perth: Galleria, Carousel, Garden City and Karrinyup.
3.3 In week 5 a weekend coupon can be obtained from The Weekend West on either 26/27 Feb or
5/6 March 2011.
3.4 Any valid entry must have at least one coupon completely filled out including name, address,
contact phone number, email address and survey questions.
4) The promotion will be run for a five week period commencing on Saturday, January 29, 2011 and
concluding on Saturday, March 5, 2011.
5) Only original bonus coupon flyers or entry coupons published within The West Australian and The
Weekend West are valid. Photocopies and facsimiles are not valid.
6) Entries can either be received via mail, addressed in the Australia Post preferred way as indicated
on each token or entries can be received at participating newsagents. A person can enter as many
times as they like but each entry (set of six coupons) must be sent in a separate envelope. Only
place coupons in the envelope. Entrants are only eligible to win the major prize once.
7) Entries must be posted to the address stated on the token by last mail on Thursday on the
following dates:

OR entries must be received at participating newsagents by Tuesday on the following dates:

8) The major draws will take place on Friday 11 February 2011, Friday 18 February 2011, Friday 25 February 2011, Friday 4 March 2011 and Friday 11 March 2011.

9) The Promoter in conjunction with Courier Australia will collect entries from newsagencies in time
for the weekly prize draws. Should however unforeseen circumstances arise whereby entries are
not collected and/or delivered in time for the draw, the Promoter will not be held responsible and
the draw will still take place at the scheduled time.

10) Winners will be contacted by phone on the date of the draws and published for each week on
Tuesday on the following dates: Tuesday, 15 February 2011, Tuesday, 22 February 2011, Tuesday, 1
March 2011, Tuesday, 8 March 2011 and Tuesday, 15 March 2011.

11) The Promoter will make every attempt to contact the winner. If however a winner is not
contactable on the phone number provided on their entry coupon by the Tuesday after their name
has been drawn, the winner will be sent a letter. If the winner doesn’t contact The Promoter within
a week of the date of this letter, the winner will forfeit their prize.


12) There are five Holdens to be given away over five weeks as follows: Holden Cruze CD
Sedan Auto (Week One); Holden SX Captiva AWD Auto (Week Two); Holden Cruze CD
Sedan Auto (Week Three); Holden SV6 Sedan Auto (Week Four); Holden SV6 Sedan Auto (Week
Five). All cars include prestige paint.

13) All of the prizes must be taken as supplied and cannot be exchanged for the cash equivalent or
transferred. The colours of the cars displayed in advertisements may not necessarily correspond
with the cars awarded as prizes. Each car will be supplied with stamp duty, transfer fees and
twelve months registration paid for. Should the winner choose to sell the car, they will
automatically forfeit the stamp duty, transfer fees and twelve months registration provided.
Insurance is not included with the prize.

14) It is each winner's responsibility to collect their prize. No cartage expenses are included in the
prizes.

15) It is a condition of entry that all prize winners agree to have their name, photo and suburb
published for publicity purposes if required. By participating in this competition, participants signify
their acceptance of all conditions and the requirement to participate in promotional activity if
required.

16) Donation of a Holden Cruze CD to charity
16.1 The West Australian and GM Holden Ltd will donate one additional Holden Cruze CD manual to
a nominated charity. The charities readers can vote for are Cancer Council WA, Carers WA and
RSPCA. Readers can vote only once for their preferred charity online at
thewest.com.au/win5holdens and must complete all of the required voting fields including name,
email address, suburb, preferred charity and contact phone number.
16.2 Voting is not compulsory for readers who would like to enter the Holden competition and vice
versa for readers who’d like to vote for their preferred charity to win a car but don’t want to enter
the print competition.
16.3 Votes for the charity car will cease at 4pm on Friday, 4 March, 2011. The Promoter will tally
the charity with the highest number of unique online votes and award the winning charity with a
car. The remaining 2 charities will receive $10,000 in contra advertising to use within The West
Australian (Monday - Friday).
16.4 The Holden Cruze CD will be branded with The West Australian, Holden and winning charity
logos and the car must be kept by the winning charity for a minimum of 12 months (if to be sold).
16.5 By voting for their nominated charity, readers go in the draw for a chance to win one of 5
Caltex fuel vouchers to the value of $500.
16.6 The draws for the 5 Caltex vouchers will take place on Friday 18 February 2011, Friday 25
February 2011, Friday 4 March 2011, Friday 11 March 2011 and Friday 19 March 2011 and the
winners will be contacted by phone.
17) Completed online votes which have ticked the box titled “Yes, I would like to be receive the latest
offers from Holden” will have their information collected for the purpose of market research and
agree to be contacted via email, mail or telephone to receive information from GM Holden Ltd.
· By ticking the box entrants agree to give Holden permission to keep their personal details
on record for the use of a database and for marketing and promotion indefinitely.
· If you do not wish to receive marketing materials from Holden after ticking the box please
contact Ashley Ince in writing at GM Holden Ltd, GPO Box 1714, Port Melbourne VIC 3207.
· All personal details kept will be used only for the purpose of Holden for marketing and
promotion. Your details will not be given to a third party or used in any other way without

18) On completion of the prize draw, all entries will be stored for a 12 month period at The West
Australian. All coupon entries will be destroyed after this time period. This is a mandatory
requirement of the Gaming and Wagering Act WA.
21) Privacy
21.1 The entrant consents to the use by The Promoter and its related corporations (as defined by
the Corporations Act 2001) of the entrants’ details and acknowledges that The Promoter and its
related corporations, may, at its discretion disclose and use those details for the purpose of
providing you with goods or services, communicating with you, planning, research, product and
business development and sales, the promotion and marketing (whether target, direct or indirect)
of their businesses, services or products or those of a third party which we believe may be of
benefit to you. The details will also be used to investigate complaints, as required or permitted by
any law, to enable The Promoter to perform its obligations to you under this or any other
agreement and to ensure that you perform your obligations under this or any other agreement.
21.2 If you do not want the details to be used for the purposes stated in clause 21.1 please write to

20) The Promoter and associated agencies accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident,
death or injury resulting from the promotion.
21) The Promoter’s decision is final and cannot be contested. No correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter reserves the right to limit entry or amend rules if considered necessary without
notice.
22) The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who the promoter believes has
breached any of these terms and conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper
misconduct. The promoter has legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an
offender.

ineligible to enter.
