Terms and conditions

The promoter is Queensland Rail Limited (Queensland Rail) ABN 132 181 090 of Level 15, 295 Ann Street, Brisbane, Queensland 4000.
2.   Entry to this competition signifies acceptance of the terms and conditions below.
3.   To be eligible to enter you must: a) complete all sections of the online entry in full prior to 9:00am AEST on the draw date for each prize (listed below) b) include the correct Code on the back cover of EMBARK magazine in your entry c) be over 18 at the date the competition closes and d) not be an employee or contractor of Queensland Rail. If you do not meet these requirements you are not eligible to enter or win the competition and if your entry is selected you will not be deemed the winner and the prize will be redrawn.
4.   Queensland Rail will only accept entries made personally by individuals. Queensland Rail reserves the right to reject entries made through automated entry systems or competition websites.
5.   The winner will be drawn randomly by electronic method at Queensland Rail’s offices on 28/02/2011 for Prize 1 and 31/03/2011 for Prize 2.
6.   The winners of the prizes will be announced one day after the draw. The winners will be contacted by telephone and the prize mailed to them. The results will be published on www.queenslandrail.com.au. If the winner/s cannot be contacted and do not respond to Queensland Rail within five calendar days, the prize will be redrawn and the winner will be contacted by telephone.
7.   Queensland Rail’s decision in the allocation of the prizes will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8.   You release from and indemnify Queensland Rail against all liability, loss, cost or claim arising from your participation in this competition including Queensland Rail’s sponsors, suppliers and contractors, including but not limited to injury and damage to person or property regardless of circumstance.
9.   Prize 1 and 2 each consists of one (1) prize for two (2) adults valued at $2909.00 consisting of a 5 Day Port Douglas Cricket Escape which includes one way overnight Queenslander Class travel onboard The Sunlander to Cairns, return coach transfers to Port Douglas, return flight from Cairns to Brisbane, three nights accommodation at Coral Tree Inn including continental breakfast daily, Great Barrier Reef Cruise, tickets to the Queensland Rail Bulls Masters 20/20 match and return hotel transfers from Cairns train station and airport. Total value of all prizes is $5,858.00.

10.   Prizes are valid for travel from 19 – 23 May 2011 and are not extendable. Prizes are also subject to availability and must be booked 30 days in advance. Valid for one booking only. All upgrades/extras are payable at time of booking

11.   The Prize’s flight is a Virgin Blue K class economy flight between Brisbane and Cairns. Includes checked luggage of up to 20kg. Bonus flight offer only valid as part of the Rail & Fly Getaway packages listed during the campaign travel period found at www.queenslandrail.com.au.
12.   Prizes must be taken as offered, are not exchangeable, or redeemable for cash or for resale.
13.   All other expenses, including, but not limited to travel, breaks in journey, meal costs, travel insurance, spending money and other ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize are the winner’s responsibility.
14.   If the prizes are unavailable, for whatever reason, Queensland Rail reserves the right to substitute the prizes for one of equal or greater value subject to Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Act and Regulations 1999.
15.   Queensland Rail makes no representations or warranties as to the quality or suitability of any of the goods offered as prizes.
16.   All entries will remain the property of Queensland Rail. Information you provide will only be used by Queensland Rail for the purpose of conducting this and other promotions and communications relating to Queensland Rail. Queensland Rail is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
