Vicseeds $5000 Cash Giveaway


Vicseeds is giving farmers the opportunity to win $5,000 cash just for buying and trying Avalon or Avalon AR1 perennial ryegrass. Vicseeds is a long standing farmer owned company that specialises in growing and supplying Australian bred perennial ryegrasses. Vicseeds flagship product Avalon perennial ryegrass is well known for its persistence and overall dry matter production, and is a mid to late maturing variety and is suited to all grazing enterprises. The variety is now available as both Avalon, with wild type endophyte and Avalon AR1 with safe endophyte that will not cause staggers or any other animal health issues related to high levels of wild type endophyte. With Avalon being bred from Australian based material, plant genetics play a major role in plant persistence. Vicseeds Sales Manager, Alan Gowers said ‘we know that endophyte does play some role in persistence but we believe plant genetics plays a big role. The early NZ varieties that came out with high levels of wild type endophyte did not persist, which indicates plant genetics is extremely important in plant persistence’.

Mr. Gowers said, ‘we really want farmers to give Australian bred Avalon or Avalon AR1 a go, and I think when they try it they will be really impressed with its performance and persistence, hence we are offering the incentive of giving a farming family the chance to win $5,000 cash just for giving it a go’.

 


To enter the draw, simply purchase one or more bags of Avalon or Avalon AR1 perennial ryegrass seed from your seed retailer, remove the complete certified tags (blue or green) and post to ‘Vicseeds $5000 cash giveaway’ PO Box 1544, Geelong, 3220, with your full name, address and contact details. Each tag is one entry.
 

Vicseeds $5000 Cash Giveaway Terms and Conditions

General Conditions: Part A 1. This competition is being conducted by Vicseeds Production Pty Ltd (VP) ABN 48 102 920 552, 1/3 Dowsett St, South Geelong 3220. 2. Information on how to enter this competition, eligibility and the Prize form part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering this competition, entrants confirm that they have read understood and accept these Terms and Conditions. 3. This competition commences at 12.00 a.m. AEDT February 1st, 2011 and closes at 5.00 p.m. AEST June 17th4. No fee is payable for entering this competition. Eligibility. 5. This competition is open to all residents/farmers throughout Australia, and to enter the competition a 25 kg bag of Avalon and/or Avalon AR1 perennial ryegrass seed must be purchased and the certified tag (which has a unique number for each bag of seed) that is sown into the bag, must be posted to ‘Vicseeds $5000 Cash Giveaway’ PO Box 1544, Geelong, Victoria, 3220, along with your name, address, and telephone number. 6. Each tag sent in constitutes ONE entry. 7. The tag must be in its complete form, and tags that are not complete will not be accepted. 8. All entries must be received by the close of business (5 p.m. AEST) Friday 17th June  2011. (Closing time) 9. Employees of VP and its shareholders and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. 10. VP distributors, employees and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. Prize. 11. The prize is determined by a single draw of one uniquely numbered tag, whereby the entrant associated with the tag will win $5000. 12. The draw will take place at Vicseeds Production Pty Ltd, Unit 1/3 Dowsett St, South Geelong, Victoria, 3220 on the 20th June 2011 at 3 p.m. 13. The winner will be notified by telephone and mail, and announced in “The Land” and “Herald Sun” newspapers on the 23rd June 2011. 14. The prize will be paid to the winner within 5 days of the draw by either cheque or direct deposit at the winners discretion. General Conditions: Part B 15. VP reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries. 16. VP determination as to the entrant who is the winner of the prize is final and cannot be contested. No correspondence will be entered in to. 17. VP accepts no liability for late, delayed receipt of, lost, incomprehensible, incomplete or misdirected entries, entries which are not received by VP or entries which are received by VP after the Closing Time for any reason whatsoever. 18. If this competition is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the control of VP, then VP may cancel or postpone the competition subject to written directions from state regulatory bodies. 19. VP may at its discretion amend or alter these Terms and Conditions at any time subject to written directions from state regulatory bodies. 20. Entrants consent to VP using the entrants name, address, other details and photo in the event that the entrant is successful in receiving the prize in any media or promotional material for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome).
