Terms and Conditions of Entry The promoter of the competition is Quest Community Newspapers (a Division of Nationwide News ABN 98 008 438 828) of Shand Street, Stafford, Qld. All information on how to enter the competition forms part of the competition conditions - Entry into the competition is deemed an acceptance of these terms and conditions. How the Competition Works The competition is called TRUELOCAL HOME MAKEOVER and offers readers of fourteen (14) Quest Community Newspapers the opportunity to win a home makeover prizes courtesy of partner businesses. Prizes are: •Overall 1st Prize - $10,000 credit to be spent at participating partner businesses towards a home makeover,1 across all participating titles •Overall Masthead Prizes - $500 credit to be spent at participating partner businesses towards a home makeover. 1 per participating masthead The competition is open to all readers of Quest Community Newspapers who meet the general terms and conditions of entry found at www.questnews.com.au and fully complete an entry form and place the completed form in any one of the entry boxes at participating TRUELOCAL HOME MAKEOVER businesses. Entry forms are found: •In current editions of Quest Community Newspapers •At participating businesses •Online at any of the participating Quest Community Newspaper Websites. Timings The competition runs for six (6) weeks from 04 April 2011 to 13 May 2011. The entries collected in each draw period will be collated by masthead. Masthead specific winners will be drawn first, with person named first on the first valid entry form for each participating title winning: •$500 credit to be spent at participating partner businesses towards a home makeover. 1 per participating masthead. All entries for all participating mastheads will then go into a grand prize draw. The first valid entry will win: •$10,000 credit to be spent at participating partner businesses towards a home makeover The draw will take place at Quest Community Newspapers Stafford office on May 23 2011 at 10:00am. Winner Notification Winners will be drawn in line with the competition schedule and notified by phone and/or in writing. The Prizes & Prize Description The prizes are as follows: •1st Prize - $10,000 credit to be spent at participating partner businesses towards a home makeover •$500 credit to be spent at participating partner businesses towards a home makeover. 1 per participating masthead, 14 in total ($7,000). Total Prize pool: $17,000. Participating Businesses TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO LAUNCH General Terms and Conditions of Entry Employees and immediate families of Quest Community Newspapers and partnering/participating businesses are not permitted to enter. The winner from each of the competition draws will be the first eligible entries randomly drawn. The judge’s decision is final/no correspondence will be entered into. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. If any winner of a prize is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or guardian. The winner will be notified by telephone and mail shortly following the random draws. If any winner is not contactable or does not claim their prize within seven days of the draw date, another finalist / winner will be drawn in the same format. By entering this competition the entrant agrees to Quest Community Newspapers disclosing the personal contact information submitted on the entry form to the relevant third party prize giver. Any additional expenses incurred by the finalists or prize winner in accepting and partaking in the prize/competition will be the responsibility of the finalist / prize winners. Quest Community Newspapers reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time and to cancel or amend the competition at any time without notice or further recourse to the entrants. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability, or merchantability of the prize. Prize Redemption Process Winners will receive a voucher corresponding to their prize amount, to show that they are a winner. They can then start to redeem their vouchers for work undertaken by specific partner businesses according to the following process: 1.Winner establishes the home improvement they wish to make 2.Winner selects a partner business to provide a quote for the work a.In the event that the quote is for a value greater than the prize the winner is responsible for the balance of costs 3.The quote must then be sent to Quest Community newspapers for approval 4.When the quote is approved, the winner and partner business agree a timeframe for work to be completed. 5.When completed to the satisfaction of both parties, the partner business will invoice Quest Community Newspapers to the agreed invoice value or maximum prize value in line with point 2.a 6.Quest Community Newspapers will process and pay the invoice General Voucher Terms and Conditions The Voucher does not have a cash value. All works must be quoted and approved by 31/12/2011 Quest Community Newspapers will settle accounts up to the maximum value of the voucher Winners can use their voucher across one or more businesses as their need dictates, but must adhere to the redemption process at all stages. THE VOUCHER CANNOT BE REDEEMED FOR CASH AND CHANGE/BALANCE WILL NOT BE PAID. |
