I know when to say "MOMMA THERE GOES THAT MAN" and when to point out that a player's shot "just isn't falling." I can pick some plays, can probably give you the depth chart for most teams, and I can draw on any number of dubious 'facts' that NBA commentators like to invoke - one of the favourites being the existence of 300 million basketball players in China.
