1. This promotion is open only to Australian residents aged 18 years and over who “like” the Reader’s Digest Australia Facebook page. The promotion opens on 15/06/2011. Entries close at 11:59pm (Sydney time) on 12/07/2011. The prizes will be drawn at Reader’s Digest, 80 Bay St Ultimo NSW 2007. The draw will take place on 19/07/2011 at 10:30am.

2. To enter the draw, individuals must follow the clues provided on the special contest page of the Reader’s Digest Australia Facebook page – facebook.com/readersdigestaustralia, to find all 28 puzzle pieces hidden at www.readersdigest.com.au by 11:59pm (Sydney time) on 12/07/2011. All puzzle pieces will be hidden on the website from Day 1 and a new clue will be released on the Facebook page every Tuesday and Thursday at a minimum. Clues will also be listed within the Reader’s Digest newsletters during the promotional period. Entrants can sign up to receive the Reader’s Digest newsletters at readersdigest.com.au/newsletters. Entrants must have opted-in to the Home & Garden, the Reader’s Digest and the Food affinity newsletters to receive clues via the Reader’s Digest newsletters. All clues will be available on the Reader’s Digest Facebook page on the last day of the promotion – Wednesday 12/07/2011 from 10am (Sydney time).

3. As a condition of entering into this promotion, each entrant licences the Promoter to use their entry (including the literary work) in any media for an unlimited period for any reason including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes. Each entrant warrants to the Promoter that each entry submitted is an original literary work of the entrant that does not infringe the rights of any third party. The entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter against all costs and claims by third parties arising from a breach of this warranty. Entrants consent to any use of their entry which may otherwise infringe their moral rights pursuant to the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).

4. The promotional material, information on how to enter and prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions. Employees of Reader's Digest, WDF Coghlan Limited, and members of their immediate families are not eligible to enter. Reader's Digest cannot accept responsibility for lost, misdirected or delayed entries.

5. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

6. Reader’s Digest will conduct the draw and the winners declared will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. The first eligible entry drawn will win a Nintendo 3DS to the value of $328. The second eligible entry drawn will win a Laser Pocket digital TV to the value of $100. The third eligible entry drawn will win a $50 iTunes voucher. Total value of the promotion is $478. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash.

8. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the iTunes voucher are not included. Any unused balance of the iTunes voucher will not be awarded as cash. Redemption of the iTunes voucher is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuer including those specified on the voucher.

9. The prize winners will be notified by email after the draw and published on the Promoter’s website - www.readersdigest.com.au. The major prize winner will also be announced in ‘The Australian’ on the 5/08/2011.

10. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited. If any prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification.

11. The Promoter may conduct such further draws at the same time and place as the original draw as is necessary on 21/10/2011 in order to distribute any prizes that remain unclaimed by that date. In the event that the major prize is awarded in the unclaimed prize draw, the winner will be published in ‘The Australian’ on 28/10/2011.

12. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter's decision on all matters pertaining to this promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

13. Limit one (1) entry per person. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, non-directed, misdirected or delayed entries, for any technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any human error which may occur in the receipt or processing of entries. Further, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for damage to computer systems from downloading any information necessary to participate in the promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or modify the promotion at any time if the Reader’s Digest on-line service is no longer available or is compromised by any virus, bugs, or other intervention beyond the Promoter’s control. In either of these events, prizes may be awarded based on entries received prior to date of termination.

14. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the internet entry process or is in any other way responsible for compromising the orderly operation of the promotion. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

15. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
