We've got five copies of World History: 50 Key Milestones You Really Need to Know by Ian Crofton to giveaway, courtesy of Pan Macmillan. People often complain that in school history lessons they were taught just a few topics - the Romans, the Tudors, the Nazis - and how they have no idea at all about what happened in between.  This book has the answers!

To win, submit your details via the entry form below and answer the following simple history question: IN WHICH YEAR DID THE FIRST WORLD WAR START?
Answer: World War I (WWI), also called the First World War or Great War, was a major war centered in Europe that began in the summer of 1914 and lasted until November 1918.
