It was really interesting listening to these various young guides telling you about the people and countries they were visiting. This release is from the same series, only this time the guides are taking you through well known art museum’s and homes. Very briefly talking of the two art movements that had profound influence on the art world around the globe. The two movements covered are” Classicism” that includes DaVinci, Ruben, Goya, Rembrandt, Velazquez, and then “Modernism” which covers the usual Dali, Manet, Picasso,Van Gogh, Miro and Duo. They really only skim the surface of these painters lives, there is no real depth, just quick looks at their famous art works. You do wish for a bit more information, and would like them to linger longer in front of these fabulous paintings. But it was an enjoyable DVD. Runs for 50 mins. |
