CAPTURE THE SEASON PHOTO COMPETITION


Capture the Season Award: $1000 package from Atkins Technicolour. The winning photo will be used as an official Adelaide Hills Wine Region image, with rights being paid to the winner.
Media Award: $200 Adelaide Hills wine collection.
People's Choice Award: $200 Adelaide Hills wine collection.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY – CAPTURE THE SEASON PHOTO COMPETITION

1. ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to all permanent Australian residents, with the exception of Adelaide Hills
Wine Region (AHWR) staff and their immediate families. Entries are submitted on the understanding
that the judges reserve the right to select works for display in the exhibition. Images taken in the
Adelaide Hills in 2011 are eligible for entry.
2. PRESENTATION
Entries may be emailed to wine@adelaidehills.com.au or for mail entries, only prints sized A3 or A4
will be accepted. Only one copy of each entry is required. All entries must be accompanied by an
entry form downloadable from the AHWR website, www.adelaidehillswine.com.au.
 The competitor may enter up to 2 photos only.
 Entries must not be framed.
 Entries can be produced in colour or black and white.
 All work must be printed on photographic paper.
Competitors whose entries are short listed will be required to provide a digital image for image
duplication.
3. ENTRY FEE AND CLOSING DATE
There is no entry fee. Entries close 5:00pm Friday July 8 2011. Entries with a postmark received after
July 8 2011 will not be eligible for selection.
4. IDENTIFICATION
Posted entries must be clearly marked on the back with the title of the photograph, photographer’s
name, address, phone no, email address and should be consistent with the entry form. The entry form
must be submitted with the entry.
5. DELIVERY
Works dispatched by post should be sent to Adelaide Hills Wine Region, 38 Adelaide Rd, Mount
Barker, SA, 5251. Entrants delivering work in person may deliver to same address between 10am
and 5:00pm only on Friday July 8 2011. Entrants to pay for all mail/transport charges to the
competition. No costs will be met by AHWR for any charges incurred.
6. SELECTION OF ENTRIES FOR EXHIBITION AND FINAL JUDGING
Short listing of images for the Exhibition and judging process (Capture the Season Award and Media
Award) will take place in the week commencing Mon July 11 2011. Short listed images will be
displayed at the Winter Reds Photographic Exhibition across multiple Adelaide Hills Wine Region
cellar doors on July 23 and 24 2011. Judging for the People’s Choice Award (short listed entries only)
will take place during the Winter Reds Photographic Exhibition on July 23 and 24 2011. The judges
decision in all respects is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. WINNING ENTRIES AND DISPLAY OF ENTRIES
Winners of the Capture the Season Award and Media Award will be notified by the AHWR office on
Monday July 18 2011. The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be notified by the AHWR office
on Monday August 8 2011. Winning entries will be displayed with short listed images at the Winter
Reds photographic exhibition on July 23 and 24 2011.
8. PRIZES
The Capture the Season Award consists of $1000 value of services from Atkins Technicolour, 89
Fullarton Rd, Kent Town, SA; and a $300 payment from the AHWR for the rights to use the image.
The Media Award and People’s Choice Award each consist of Adelaide Hills wine to the value of
$200.
9. NON SELECTED PHOTOGRAPHS
Unsuccessful entrants will not be notified by AHWR and photographs will not be returned. Non
selected photographs will not be used for any purpose by the AHWR.
10. COPYRIGHT AND CONTENT
Copyright of any work submitted as an entry remains with the author or copyright owner. By
submitting the work, the copyright owner gives the AHWR permission to reproduce, communicate and
display works to the public, in the event that they are short listed. AHWR will pay rights to the Capture
the Season Award winner and will use this image for marketing and publicity purposes. AHWR
reserves the right to edit or crop this image as required. The competitor is solely responsible for
ensuring that any content submitted to the competition does not infringe on any third party’s
intellectual property rights or the rights of privacy or publicity of any third party. This includes text,
data, photographs, graphics or any other materials.
