Title: My daughter won a trip to Disneyland, Florida, Miami & a Caribbean Cruise Post by: bandkh1 on Sunday 31 July 2011, 08:54:47 am I've been encouraging my daughter to enter competitions and, taking my advice (for once :o), she entered one and then promptly forgot it. She got a WPC yesterday - she's won a trip for 4 people to the USA visiting Florida, Disneyworld, Miami and topped off with a Caribbean cruise.
She's a single Mum and could never have afforded something like this in a fit so I couldn't have been more pleased if I had won it myself. I hope that's not the case - they said they were sending a confirmation e-mail on Monday (our time) and that she would receive a Fedex package by Wed next week which will include all the vouchers, codes, etc. and booking instructions for when she's decided upon her dates.
She remembers entering the comp too, so I hope it's all kosher. We'll wait until we get the info and then make a decision based on the info. But the "scam" thing came into my head too, so I wouldn't be surprised. But, as I said, I hope not! No, doglet, no credit card details at all. But that's not the end of it, is it? There's plenty of time for them to ask for credit card details as she hasn't got the confirming e-mail yet. I'm a bit on the cynical side and, although I am thrilled for her if it's legit, I'll be mad as hell if it's not. I want to see the vouchers etc. which are supposedly arriving by Wed next week - then we'll start planning! I've said all this to her and we'll wait to see what comes tomorrow and what they ask for (if anything) and then we'll wait to see what Wed brings. If it's a scam, I'll let the board know in case it's doing the rounds.
