TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in
this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Entry in the Promotion is only open to residents 18 years and over of Queensland, excluding:
(a) management, employees, directors and contractors of the Promoter, its related entities or
other agencies, firms or companies associated with the Promotion (including suppliers of
prizes);
(b) a spouse, de-facto spouse, parent, guardian, child or sibling of a person referred to in
paragraphs 2(a) of these Terms;
(c) persons who have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to
win a contest run by or on behalf of the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of
name; and
(d) persons who have breached the terms and conditions of any Promotion run by or on behalf
of the Promoter,
(Eligible Entrants). The persons referred to in paragraph 2(b) of these Terms includes natural
and non-natural relations (in the opinion of the Promoter) and the Promoter is responsible for
determining whether a person is an Eligible Entrant in its absolute discretion. 

3. The Promoters are Flight Centre Limited (ABN 25 003 377 188) trading as Student Flights and
Brisbane Racing Club Ltd (BRC) (ABN 80 133 679 786) (Promoters).
4. The Promotion will commence at 10:00am local time on 20/07/11 and will continue until 4:00pm
local time on 17/08/11 (Promotion Period).

HOW TO ENTER
5. To enter the Promotion, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotion Period:
(a) complete an Entry Form or Online Form (including providing their full name, email address
and mobile phone number) and submit entry electronically or place in the entry barrels at
Eagle Farm Racecourse,(an Eligible Entry)

6. To qualify for an entry into the draw, applicable persons must consent to subscribe to Student
Flights marketing and agree to receive electronic messages from Student Flights including
notifications of latest travel deals, early bird specials, festivals, events and viral competitions.
Subscribers can opt out of these communications at any time.

7. Eligible entrants must be present at the event, at the time of the prize draw in order to claim
prize. Entrants not present at the time of the prize draw will not be considered as eligible
entrants.

PRIZE DRAW
1. The prize draw will be conducted at Eagle Farm Racecourse by a representative of BRC at
approximately 4:15pm on 17/08/11 from all entries received in the Promotion (Draw).

2. The first Eligible Entrant with a valid Eligible Entry drawn is the winner.

3. The prize must be collected no later than 5:00pm on 17/08/11.  In the event that the winner
does not take the prize at the time specified, the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash
will not be awarded in lieu of the prize.

4. The total available Prize pool value for the Promotion is approximately $5,000 (value is
approximately only and subject to change) including GST.

5. Prize package consists of the following – four return flights departing Brisbane and arriving in
Denpasa, Bali. Five nights accommodation for four people on a quad share basis, staying at the
Plataran Bali Resort and Spa, in a Pool Villa. Prize will include breakfast daily, airport transfers,
fruit basket and welcome drink on arrival and daily afternoon tea. All other costs associated with
the prize including meals, beverages, laundry services, additional spending money, taxes, insurance, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs not expressly provided, as well as
obtaining any of these, are the responsibility of the winner and their travel companions. 
Student Flights strongly recommends all travelers take a sufficient travel insurance policy to
cover the duration of their stay. Travel is based on 10-16 October 2011, amends to this travel
period may incur additional costs at the winner expense. Blackout periods may apply. Travel
must be booked with Student Flights by 29 August 2010. Once booked, any changes made to
the booking may incur a cancellation fee or amendment fee, at the cost of the winner and their
travel companions. Prize is non-transferrable, and not redeemable for cash or credit. Flight

6. The Draw winner will be notified by mobile phone immediately after the Draw. Draw winners
must present themselves to BRC staff within 30 minutes of the Draw.   


7. If the Prize remains unclaimed at the time specified on 17/08/11 a manual random re-draw will
be conducted at Eagle Farm Racecourse by a BRC representative at 5.30pm local time on that
date, from all remaining entries received in the Promotion (Re-Draw).

8. Re-Draw winner, if any, will be notified by mobile phone immediately after the re-draw.

VERIFICATION
9. Prize winner must, if requested by the Promoters, produce (within the time requested by the
Promoters), appropriate photo identification or other documentation (to the Promoters’
satisfaction, at its sole discretion) in order to verify their identity, age, eligibility to enter and
claim a Prize, and their compliance with these Terms, before the Promoters issue a Prize. If the
documentation required by the Promoters is not received or a winning entry has not been
verified to the satisfaction of the Promoters, within the time period determined by the Promoters,
the winner’s entry will be invalid. Prize will only be awarded following any winner validation and
verification that the Promoters require at its absolute discretion.
10. If more than one person attempts to claim a particular Prize, the Promoters have sole and
absolute discretion to determine which of those persons is the winning entrant.

GENERAL
11. Eligible Entrants may enter the Promotion as many times as they wish provided each entry is
based on a separate Qualifying transaction and is submitted separately in accordance with
these Terms.
12. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
13. Prizes must be taken as offered and may not be varied.
14. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of Prizes.
15. If the Promoters are unable to provide a winner with a nominated Prize, the Promoters reserve
the right to supply an alternative prize of similar monetary value to the nominated prize, subject
to any written directions given by the State gaming departments.
16. The Promoters accept no responsibility for any entries not received for any reason during the
Promotion Period. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not the time
of transmission. No responsibility will be taken for lost, stolen, damaged, late or misdirected
entries. The Promoters are not responsible for technical difficulties with the entry mechanism
and does not warrant that the entry mechanism will be available at all times.
17. If, for any reason, the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to
tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the control of the
Promoters, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper
conduct of this Promotion, the Promoters reserve the right in its sole discretion to take any
action that may be available, subject to State regulations, including cancelling, terminating,
modifying or suspending the Promotion.
18. Any entrant who, in the opinion of the Promoters, tampers or interferes with the entry
mechanisms or the Draws, in any way, engages in any unlawful or improper conduct which
jeopardises or is likely to jeopardise the fair or proper conduct of the Promotion, or who does
not properly comply with the entry process, will be ineligible to win.
19. Incomplete, indecipherable, illegible or incorrect entries are not eligible to win.
20. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify entries in the event of non-compliance with these
Terms. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights under these Terms at any stage does
not constitute a waiver of those rights.21. The Promoters decisions in relation to all aspects of the Promotion are final and binding on
each entrant and no correspondence will be entered into. 
22. Entrants acknowledge that the Promoters may rely on these Terms even if the Promoters only
learn of an entrant’s ineligibility to enter the Promotion or non-compliance with these Terms
after the Promoters have awarded a Prize to the entrant. The Promoters reserve the right to
require an entrant to relinquish their Prize repay the Promoters the value of the Prize at the
Promoters discretion.
23. The Promoters, related entities, employees, agents, directors and contractors, and all agencies
associated with the Promotion, shall not be liable for any loss or claim, action, demand, liability,
loss (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss), damage, cost, expense or
personal injury whatsoever, incurred, suffered or sustained by any person or other entity
(without limitation) directly or indirectly in connection with this Promotion or the acceptance or
use of prizes by winners, except that which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that
liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
24. Student Flights and the Brisbane Racing Club will not be liable for personal injury suffered
during prize winnings. The winner, and his or her guests (if any), must sign and return any
liability release and indemnity provided by Student Flights and/or its contractors as a condition
of a prize being awarded. Failure to return the signed releases and indemnities will result in the
entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another winner.
25. This condition does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have,
which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent
permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such
rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again.
26. The Promoters accept no responsibility for any tax liabilities that may arise from winning a Prize.
27. The Promoters encourage consumers to enjoy alcohol in moderation. Legal aged consumers
are advised to consider the ‘low risk drinking’ guidelines recommended by the National Health
and Medical Research Council Australian Alcohol Guidelines. A full version of the guidelines is
available at: www.nhmrc.gov.au/publications/synopses/ds10syn.htm. Participation in the
Promotion is subject to relevant liquor legislation, and the Participating Venue’s liquor licence
obligations including responsible service of alcohol. Consumers are also encouraged to visit the
Australian Government’s information site for alcohol at www.alcohol.gov.au.
28. Entrants consent to the Promoters using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/ or voice in
the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/ or recording of the same) in any
media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this
competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed
and/ or supplied by the Promoters.
29. The Promoters collect personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this
purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents,
contractors, service providers prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this information.
The Promoters may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for
promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic
messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or
correct information to the Promoters. All entries become the property of the Promoters.
30. Flight Centre Limited, trading as Student Flights, ACN 003 377 188 located at Level 2, 545
Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000. The personal information of entrants will be collected to
enable the Student Flights to administer and promote this competition and its winners and may
be used to market its services to the entrant. The personal information of the entrants will be
held and used in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy which is available
at www.studentflights.com.au The personal information of winners may be provided to others
assisting, including prize suppliers and deliverers, and to authorities that regulate this
competition. If an entrant does not truthfully provide all requested personal information, the
Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win the prize.
