I did this once and I will explain what happened.

They ring you up and want to deliver the meal in person.  You will then have two sales people turn up at your door trying to sell you the meals.  When they did this, they had what appeared like a really good deal going - 10 easy meals for $30 (something like that).  But they refused to take the money straight up, insisting it comes out of your bank account on a friday.  So I signed up for that, big mistake.  I started getting all these invoices for over $100 for further supplies of easy meals, I tried to cancel it a heap of times, but they couldn't cancel it because for some reason the initial payment of the $30 wouldn't go through.  I checked with my bank and it was nothing from the banks end that was blocking it. Then a whole other box of meals turned up that I didn't want or order.  Eventually after many weeks dramas, I eventually got it cancelled only paying for the initial cheap meals.

No-one in my family liked the meals, most of them were really watery and you still needed to make something else with them (like pasta, rice etc) as you only get the protein part of the dish.

So beware easy meals.  In my opinion it is not worth the annoyance just to get a free meal.

Yes, thanks for the warning, volletmay. Maybe I shouldn't have posted up this "free" offer. :( Anyone else encountered the same situation?

I got this offer last time it was up & had no problems at all (mother & brother also received them without issue).  They came in the mail with no personal visit but we did get a phonecall with the offer of signing up - I said no & never heard from them again after getting the free meal (which was quite nice).  Maybe because we're in a regional area?

Last time mine came in the mail too, no problems.  But I will admit I put a fake email address & phone number so they couldn't do any follow ups!

Asked her if there were any free sapmples and she went back into her spiel mode about buying the pack.....

Just had a call also, kinda quite aggressive in her sales tactics trying to sell 50 or 100 meals before you have even sampled. Wonder if this was just a come-on to get our details and hard sell..

I just told her that the reason we were trialling is because my kids were fussy and we wanted to find out if they were too spicy, had too many onions, etc. so definitely weren't going to buy till we'd tested.  She was absolutely fine with that and I guess we'll be left alone until we've received our sample now.
