1.    Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Conditions of Entry.
2.    The Promoter is Allen & Unwin Pty Ltd (A.B.N 79 003 994 278) of 83 Alexander Street, Crows Nest, NSW 2065.
3.    A purchase of The Siren's Sting by Miranda Darling during the competition period entitles a person to enter the ‘Win Stevie Duveen's handbag and contents’ competition.
4.    Entry is open to Australian and New Zealand residents only. Employees of Allen & Unwin Pty Ltd, anyone else connected to Allen & Unwin, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. Eligible people (Entrants) who enter online at www.allenandunwin.com/competitions will be eligible to win. One (1) Entrant will be selected as the winner.
5.    To enter, a person must complete the ‘Win Stevie Duveen's handbag and contents’ online entry form in full on the Allen and Unwin website www.allenandunwin.com/competitions during the competition period and retain their original proof of purchase (receipt) which will need to be produced by the winner. Only one (1) entry per person is allowed.
6.    The entry submitted will be taken as the Entrant’s acceptance of assigning all rights and interests including but not limited to copyright and all other intellectual property rights of the Entrant’s to Allen & Unwin. Allen & Unwin reserves the right to edit or alter the Entrant’s submission.
7.    The prize is a one Burberry handbag, one Burberry scarf, one pair of Burberry sunglasses, one Burberry perfume and an iPod touch. All to the value of $3,000 (AUD three thousand dollars)
8.    Redemption of the prize is subject to any and all conditions specified by Allen & Unwin at the time of awarding the prize.
9.    The prize will be awarded to the entrant who, in the opinion of the judges, best answers the question in 25 words or less ‘Imagine you are Stevie Duveen, Risk Assessor for Hazard Ltd. In 25 words or less tell us what essential item you would carry in your handbag?’
10.    Competition commences 00:01 (AEST) on 01/09/2011. Entries close 5.00pm (AEST) on 31/012/2011 (the Competition period). Any entry received after that date will be ineligible. Entry by any person will be taken as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. There will be one prize awarded which will be conducted at 10.00am (AEST) on 16/01/2012 at the Promoter’s office. The judges’decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11.    The winning entry will be notified in writing and by phone and be announced online on www.allenandunwin.com on the 23/01/2012.
12.    The winner must produce their original proof of purchase (receipt itemising the book The Siren's Sting by Miranda Darling) to be eligible to claim the prize. If the winner fails to produce their original proof of purchase itemising The Siren's Sting they forfeit the prize.
13.    If the winner of a prize is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner's nominated parent or guardian.
14.    Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize.

Entries that are forged, incomplete, illegible or do not comply with the terms and conditions will be deemed invalid. If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, Allen & Unwin reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Competition.
