Title: "Luxury Couple" Portrait promotion - some good news at my end
Post by: snuggle1 on Tuesday 13 September 2011, 07:14:28 pm
It has been more than two months since I was declared a winner in this competition.

As some of you may know, there might have been at least one issue regarding the previous terms and conditions (at least one portion has been amended) and the accommodation voucher itself.

I was sent an e-mail yesterday that I would never have agreed to the terms in its entirety - I had already agreed to testify and provide further evidence to Australian Competition and Consumer Commission if requested to do so regarding this competition.

Finally today, I received an e-mail from a solicitor acting for the promoter who has advised me that, his client is willing to pay me $2,000.00 - no other terms and conditions.

However, there is no admission of liability from the promoter.

I get to keep all the collected evidence that I have.  :D

What did I have to go through to get it?

Numerous e-mails, telephone calls, contacting ACCC, numerous legal departments in Qld, and certain comments.

At the end of the day, I was able to show proof of the terms and conditions, and the letter of congratulations.

In this instance it also paid to surf the internet and find certain information that was posted on the internet by someone before I was declared the winner.

If anyone needs further information about what happened and how I did it, pm me.

Happy comping everyone,

How a few days can make the difference...

As at writing this, yesterday, I received two letters from a representative at Anisimoff Legal.

Despite being told that there were, "...no strings attached...," the documents came through to me as, "CONFIDENTIAL."

Additionally, the dispatchment of payment sent that was via a previous e-mail set at 14 days has been amended to 28 days.

I responded to the letter to the solicitor and advised accordingly - along with the statement pertaining to, "Without admission of liability..." I included part of an e-mail that was sent to me last month by a representative of Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

As at writing this, I am now waiting on a reply from the company's solicitor.

Happy comping everyone,

Thanks for your help in regarding this situation. As i told you i have the original e-mail and printed it. Now i can't find where i put it aaarrgg.

ps - the link where we tell you about your prize is click here: I'm pretty sure this has changed from the time i printed my copy.
I'm sure it didn't mention about the breakfast & dinner.
I'm kicking myself that i wasn't more forward and question the prize($2000)voucher.

I wish you all the best and hope the outcome is in you favour. Lou Lou :)
