Standard Terms and Conditions
Games of Chance ‘Facebook Seek the Stag’ Competition

    Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
    Entry is open to residents of Australia who are 18 years and over. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
    To enter entrants must:
        visit http://www.facebook.com/TooheysExtraDry ;
        “like” the Facebook Seek the Stag tab;
        follow the entry instructions;
            Review the daily clues about where the stag is located that day
            Drop the ‘Stag pin’ onto the map at the venue where you believe the stag is located on that day; and
            Confirm the selected venue location of the stag;
            Click to submit their entry;
        submit their personal details, including their first and last name, email address, suburb and State; and
        click to accept the Terms & Conditions

    Entrants who correctly guess the location of the stag for that day will be entered into the corresponding daily draw.
    The promotion commences at 00:01 EST on 10/10/11 and closes at 23:59 EDT on 21/10/2011 “Promotional Period”. Entry is open every weekday between 00:01 and 23:59 EST/EDT during the Promotional Period. Limit applies of one entry per person, per day.
    Draws will take place at 11:00 EST/EDT on 11/10/11, 12/10/11, 13/10/11, 14/10/11, 17/10/11, 18/10/11, 19/10/11, 20/10/11, 21/1011 and, 24/10/11 at Suite 2, Level 2, 2-12 Foveaux Street, Surry Hills, 2010, Sydney, NSW, Australia. Only entries submitted between 00.01 and 23.59 EST/EDT on the day before each draw will be included in that draw. There will be ten (10) draws and ten (10) winners in total. The first valid entry drawn in each draw will receive a prize.
    Prize consists of $1,000. The prize money will be provided to each winner via cheque Total RRP of all prizes = $10,000.00
    Winners will be notified by email within 1 day of the draw, and their names (and suburbs for winners from South Australia) will be published in The Australian newspaper on 27/10/2011.
    If necessary, a second chance draw will be held on 24/01/12 at the same time and place as the original draws in order to distribute any unclaimed prizes. Winners will be notified by email within 2 days of the draw, and their names (and suburbs for winners from South Australia) will be published in The Australian newspaper on 27/01/11.
    Prizes are not transferable. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant lottery authority) modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the promotion.
    In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value subject to any written directions from the lottery authorities.
    The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address and any other information from entrants relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who provides false information, fails to provide information, conspires with others to gain an unfair advantage or who is otherwise involved in any way in manipulating, interfering or tampering with this promotion.
    The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any winner as a result of the winner accepting and/or using a prize, except to the extent any loss, damage or injury is due to the negligence or wilful misconduct of the Promoter or which otherwise cannot be excluded by law.
    Entrants will be refused service of alcohol or provision of an alcoholic beverage prize if it would breach any relevant laws, codes or policies including those of the relevant liquor licensee relating to the responsible service of alcohol.
    Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
    Details from entries will be collected and used for the purpose of conducting this promotion (which may include disclosure to third parties, including local lottery authorities, for the purpose of processing and conducting the promotion) and for promotional purposes surrounding this promotion. By entering this promotion entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment to the entrant. Entrants may access, change and/or update their personal information and obtain a copy of the Promoter’s privacy policy by contacting the Promoter on (02) 9320 2200 during office hours.

Is there some Jedi mind trick involved in actually dragging the stag?  When I try to the whole page goes skewiff, the map slides away and dots go everywhere.  About to give up!

I just had the same problem, sandybottoms - then realised I should be dragging the stag to a Green Dot, not just any old place on the map!  Fun comp!

I wasn't getting the chance to drag it to a dot. When I clicked on it while it was within it's circle (does that make sense?) the map slid away. Finally noticed the stag sitting on the map afterward that happened and was able to drag it then.  Was beginning to think it was just me so thanks venice queen

I enlarged the map..((dragging the map etc)...found the Aberdeen..and dropped the stag in..dahdahhhhh!!!8-)

And thanks to yasimum for the answer, I was searching on William Wallace and Braveheart, so completely off track! (even though there is a Sir William Wallace Hotel in Sydney - red herring!)

No green dot but found Aberdeen... is this right.

It does have its own green dot...I did it this morn.

If you go to Perth and scroll out so all the green dots separate, when you click on each green dot it will come up with the name of the pub.  Then you drag your stag and when the cross is on the right dot the name will come up.  Then you go down and it says something like, "You have selected The Aberdeen Tavern."  Then you click submit and if it is the right place it will say, "You have located the stag."  Hope that makes sense.  It certainly isn't the easiest thing to navigate that's for sure.

Venice Queen

You weren't off track, it definitely was a reference to William Wallace.  I looked for anything that was vaguely Scottish and came up with both the Aberdeen Tavern and the Strathmore in Brisbane.  Looked up Strathmore on google and couldn't find any connection so looked up Aberdeen and there is a huge statue of William Wallace in Aberdeen.
