The Good Guys Bargain Hunt Reverse Auction Promotion Full Terms and Conditions
HOW TO ENTER

To be eligible to Bid, Bidders must log onto www.thegoodguys.com.au between Tuesday 25th October 2011 at 9am AEDST and Tuesday 25th October 2011 at 9pm AEDST (“Promotion”)
There are 16 Products in the Bargain Hunt Reverse Auction. The winner of the reverse auction will be able to purchase the item at their winning bid amount, the lowest unique bid wins. Only one bid per person, per product. The lowest unique bid is an amount that is over the Reserve Price, but is also closest to the Reserve Price and where no other bidder has bid the same amount of money. A bidder can place a single bid against each product, bids will be time stamped in the database. Bids will be in denominations of 50 cents.
Winners will be notified by Wednesday 26th October 2011 by phone and email. Winning bidders will collect their goods from their nearest The Good Guys store and pay the winning bid price.

Promotion open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over however, employees of The Good Guys and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to participate. Promotion is only valid at participating The Good Guys stores.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of the Bid and Bidders (including a Bidder’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any Bidder who submits a Bid that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the Bidding process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible Bids will be deemed invalid. Multiple Bids are not permitted, only one bid per person, per product, will be allowed.
The Good Guys Bargain Hunt Reverse Auction Promotion commences Tuesday 25th October 2011 at 9am AEDST and finishes Tuesday 25th October 2011 at 9pm AEDST.
Winners will be notified by Wednesday 26th October 2011 by phone and email. Winning bidders will collect their goods from their nearest The Good Guys store and pay the winning bid price.
If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any Bidder; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate.
Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the Bidder’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows a Bidder to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all Bids submitted by that Bidder invalid.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any Bids or Products that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any tax liability incurred by a Bidder.
The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, offer suppliers and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities; the Auction is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes including sending electronic messages or telephoning the Bidder. The Winning Bidders first name and postal suburb may also be displayed on the Promoter’s web site and in any of the Promoter’s promotional and advertising material. Bidders should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All Bids become the property of the Promoter.
