The original Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark was a 1973 telemovie that made an impression on a young Guillermo Del Toro, who produced and co-wrote this remake. It stars Bailee Madison, Guy Pearce and Katie Holmes as a family who move into a mansion that they discover is haunted by toothy, goblin-like creatures.
