Win a DVD of A Film Unfinished

In 1942, the Nazi propaganda machine was hard at work. Nearly 70 years later, the deceit is unmasked in this film.

A Film Unfinished is a powerful documentary that sets the record straight on a Nazi propaganda film shot in the Warsaw Ghetto in May 1942. Through the testimony of surviving witnesses and the revelatory discovery in 1998 of a missing fifth reel, acclaimed Israeli filmmaker Yael Hersonski retraces the events, conditions and personnel involved in this cinematic deceit, which was made to depict the ghetto as a place of class extremes and socioeconomic hypocrisies advanced by Jews.

Winner of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize, A Film Unfinished is a compelling study of how history is perceived and can be fabricated. The New York Times called the film “moving, mysterious and intellectually provocative”.

The Australian Jewish News has 10 copies of A Film Unfinished to give away.
