It’s time to share your favourite holiday photos and be in the running to win a luxury prize. We have two great prizes in two categories — the best holiday shot featuring members of the Australian Jewish community, and the best sunrise or sunset photograph. To be eligible, photos must have been taken between February 1, 2011 and the closing date of the competition, January 31, 2012. The entry judged to be the best holiday photo will win a three-night stay at the luxury Hayman resort in the Whitsundays. The five-star resort recently reopened after a multi-million-dollar makeover that included the refurbishment of more than 200 rooms and suites, upgrading facilities and the tropical gardens. Hayman’s fine dining restaurant, Fontaine, has undergone major renovations to create a more modern atmosphere serving contemporary Australian cuisine and the best of Australian wines. The Hayman Spa menu has also had a makeover with a new range of therapies. The prize includes accommodation for two people in a Pool Deluxe Room overlooking the enormous swimming pool and tropical gardens, daily buffet breakfast in the beachfront Azure restaurant, luxury yacht transfers between Hamilton Island and Hayman, use of fitness facilities including gymnasium, sauna and steam room, tennis, squash, croquet and golf driving range. The prize is valid from March 1 to December 20, 2012 and is subject to availability and exclusion periods. Air fares are not included. Choose your favourite holiday photos taken since February – or send snapshots while on holiday during December and January – and email them to travel@jewishnews.net.au. Please don’t send shots of deserted beaches or plain scenery — we want to see people enjoying themselves on holiday. There is a limit of three entries per person for each of the photo competitions. Entries will be published in photo galleries on this website from December 1 until the end of January. The finalists will be announced in February. This competition is open to Australian residents only. * Employees of The Australian Jewish News and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. * The winning entry will be decided by The AJN.
