Colouring in – Terms & Conditions
 1.All information on how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
 2.This competition is run by the Council of the City of Sydney (“the City”).
 3.The City reserves the right at any time to disqualify any individual who the City reasonably believes has breached any of the terms and conditions or engaged in any lawful or other improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition.
 4.The City is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information or for any fault in the equipment utilised in this competition which may result in error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alterations of entries.
 5.To the extent permitted by the law, the City will not be liable for any injury, damages, expenses, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or inconsequential) to persons or property as a result of any person entering into the competition or accepting or using any prize.
 
ELIGIBILITY
 6.Entry is only open to children who are 12 years of age or younger.
 7.All entries must be original and the entrant’s own work.  By entering the competition, each entrant warrants that every photograph submitted by the entrant does not infringe the intellectual property rights of a third party and each entrant further warrants that they own all rights to the photograph submitted.  Entries that infringe copyright are automatically disqualified from the competition.  Each entrant indemnifies the City against any costs that the City may incur as the result of any copyright infringement from the breach of these warranties.
 
HOW TO ENTER
 8.Entries should clearly addressed in the post to: Santa’s Helper – Christmas Coordinator, City Engagement, City of Sydney, GPO Box 1591, Sydney NSW 2001
 9.Only one entry can be made per child and the parent/guardian must give consent by signing the Entry Form.
 10.The winner chosen will be judged on creativity and effort. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
 11.All entries become the property of the City of Sydney. The City of Sydney cannot return submitted entries and entrants are advised to keep a copy.
 12.Entries close at 5pm AEST on Friday 18 November 2011. No responsibility will be accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
 
USE OF ENTRIES
 13.Entries submitted as part of the competition will become the property of City of Sydney and by entering this promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that City of Sydney will use this information and/or image in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to the relevant State lottery department and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the City at their address set out below.

JUDGING AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS
 14.The competition will be judged by a panel on Monday 21 November 2011 at City of Sydney, Town Hall House, 456 Kent Street NSW 2000.
 15.The Winner will be notified by phone on Monday 21 November 2011. The winner’s name will be published on the City of Sydney Christmas website www.sydneychristmas.com.au on Tuesday 22 November 2011. The individual whose name is placed on the entry form (printed or online) will be issued with the prizes.
 
PRIZES
 16.The winner will receive:
 •the chance to join the MC to light the Christmas tree at the Christmas Concert in Hyde Park on Thursday 24 November 2011; and
 •a gift chosen by City of Sydney to the value of approximately $100.
 17.In the event that for any reason the prize winner does not redeem their prize by Tuesday 22 November 2011 the prize will be forfeited.
