Terms & Conditions

1.    Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained within the promotional advertisements form part of these terms and conditions.

2.    To be eligible for the free $40 The Good Guys Store Credit, customers must subscribe to a pre-paid home delivery package for $80 - The West Australian Monday to Saturday for 8 weeks or The Weekend West only for 30 weeks before 4pm, Friday, December 9, 2011.

3.    All pre paid subscriptions must be paid for in advance before receiving the free gift. Payments can be made by credit card, cheque or money order by phoning customer service on 1800 811 855, entering your details online at www.thewest.com.au/homedelivery or filling out the coupon appearing in The West Australian & The Weekend West between Saturday, October 29 and Friday, December 9. Once the payment has been received by The West Australian, the gift can be posted out to the recipient.

4.    The Christmas Gift Subscription offer is open to all WA residents aged 18 and over living in a home delivery service area.

5.    Current home delivery customers are not eligible for the free gift. The Christmas offer is only valid for new Subscribers on the pre paid offer of $80 as mentioned in clause 2.

6.    The $40 The Good Guys Store Credit can be used at any participating The Good Guys stores in Australia and has a validity of 3 months. The Store Credits are valid from 14/11/11 to 13/02/12. Store credit will not be extended and MUST be used within the validity period.

7.    Stocks are strictly limited being two hundred (200) The Good Guys Store Credits to the first 200 customers who subscribe to the Christmas offer as mentioned in clause 2. No additional stock will be sourced after this.

8.    Any additional costs incurred as a result of receiving the free gift will be at the expense of the customer.

9.    Gifts are subject to the terms and conditions of participating service providers.

10.    The gift must be taken as stated and is non-transferable, not exchangeable and not redeemable for cash.
11.    All subscribers release from, and indemnify the Promoter against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any gift including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
12.    The Promoter and associated agencies accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from the promotion.
13.    Participation in the Christmas subscription offer constitutes the customer’s unconditional agreement to and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.  The Customer is responsible for insuring his or her familiarity with the Terms and Conditions.  The Promoter’s decision not to enforce a specific restriction does not constitute a waiver of that restriction or of the Terms and Conditions generally.

14.    The Promoter’s decision is final and cannot be contested.  No correspondence will be entered into. The West Australian reserves the right to amend rules if considered necessary without notice.
