Blackeby’s Old Sweet Shop is an iconic South Australian business founded over 100 years ago stocking an incredible range of local and imported confectionery including unique products from today and past eras that are not found elsewhere in Adelaide.

Blackeby’s originated in Adelaide in 1883 when a young 14 year old, William Blackeby, began working at a stall that manufactured sweets in the Adelaide Central Market.

Most of William Blackeby’s lines of hard boiled sweets are still made today like humbugs, bullseyes, acid drops, toffee apples, fish and many more. Other mouth-watering sweets still loved by customers today are toasted marshmallows, fruit jellies, cream caramels, liquorice allsorts, peanut brittle and rocky road.

In recent years Blackeby’s have become the largest retailer of candy and sweets from the USA, UK, NZ and from around the world in South Australia.

The aim of Blackeby’s Old Sweet Shop is to manufacture and retail the finest confectionery from Australia and around the world whilst providing the old world lolly shop experience.

This Christmas Blackeby’s Old Sweet has something for every budget from small stocking fillers, kids novelties and imported chocolates to delicious candy and sweets for the table and gift baskets to suit all tastes.

Buy any product in store and enter the barcode for your chance to win a motorised razor scooter just in time for Christmas!

Blackeby’s Old Sweet Shops are located at James Place off Rundle Mall, Tea Tree Plaza Shopping Centre, Hallett Cove Shopping Centre and the Brickwork Markets.
