Conditions of Entry
1. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. To enter fill in the fields above with your contact details as requested and answer the daily question as directed. This promotion is open to Australian residents only who with the exception of those related to employees of the Promoter, their families, agents and anyone else connected with this promotion.
2. The competitions close daily at midnight AEST from Monday December 12 through to Friday December 16, 2011 subject to Paragraph 8 below. The Promoter, Penguin Books (Australia) accepts no liability for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on–line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems and/or traffic congestion on telephone networks or lines that cause late or delayed entries, or for any lost and/or misdirected entries not received by the closing date.
3. Competition winners will be judged daily at 10am AEST from Tuesday December 13 through to Monday December 19, 2011 at Penguin Books (Australia), 250 Camberwell Road, Camberwell, Victoria, 3124 and the winners' name and state will be announced daily on Penguin Books Australia Facebook page. The winners only will be notified by email. You must claim your prize within 7 days after we notify you. PLEASE BE AWARE DELIVERY PRIOR TO CHRISTMAS CAN NOT BE GUARANTEED.
4. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. The winners will be judged with regard to written skill and/or creativity of reply.
5. All entries become the property of Penguin Books (Australia).
6. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. The entries judged as the winners will each receive one of Penguin’s daily prizes on offer. The value of each prize is up to but not exceeding $50.00rrp. The total daily prize offering is up to but not exceeding $50.000rrp.
8. Participation is not transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other goods or services. If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its discretion (subject always to any direction given by a relevant gaming or lotteries authority) to cancel, terminate, extend, modify or suspend the promotion. The Promoter may in its discretion disqualify any individual who tampers or interferes with the participation process.
9. The personal information you submit as a participant will be collected by the Promoter, Penguin Books (Australia). Your personal information will be stored and used for purposes related to the Promotion and for direct marketing by Penguin Books (Australia) in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). 10. Each participant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including without limitation negligence), for any loss or damage; whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion.
