By entering your images into the Jetstar Star Jump Competition, you agree to the following
conditions:
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the
competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. The promoter is Jetstar Airways Pty Limited (ABN 33 069 720 243) of Level 4, 222
Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (Promoter).
Eligibility
3. Entry is open to Australian residents aged over 18 (Eligible Entrants) excluding
directors, management, employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and its
related bodies corporate and registered travel companions of employees of the Promoter
and its related bodies corporate.
4. The promotion commences at midday 12.00pm (AEDT) on 20 December 2012 and
closes at midday 12.00 pm (AEDT) on 20 January 2012 (Promotion Period). Only
entries that are received during that time will be eligible for entry.
Competition entry
5. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotion Period:
a. Take a photograph of their family/friends doing a Jetstar Star Jump and
b. Upload and submit that photograph via the competition tab on the Jetstar
Australia Facebook page:
6. No images supplied in hard copy will be accepted; only digital files will be accepted.
7. Photos that have been previously entered into a Jetstar competition will be ineligible to
win.
8. All entry details including name, email address, and location photo was taken must be
completed.
9. Image must be a minimum size of 500kb and no larger than 4MB.
10. While the Eligible Entrants retains the copyright of all images submitted as competition
entries, the Eligible Entrants grants Jetstar the right to unlimited world-wide use of the
photos for company brochures, promotion and advertising relating to products or services
from Jetstar and other providers, including without limitation agreeing to the publication of
any winning photographs in the Herald Sun, Sydney Daily Telegraph, Brisbane Courier
Mail, Adelaide Advertiser, Perth Western Australian, Northern Territory News and the
Hobart Mercury newspapers on 26 January 2012. Eligible Entrants consent to any use of
their entry which may otherwise infringe their moral rights pursuant to the Copyright Act
1968 (Cth), or any other such similar rights. Note the entrant still retains ownerships of
copyright, albeit with the grant of a broad licence to Jetstar to use the photos.
11. By entering the promotion the Eligible Entrant confirms that all persons appearing in the
photograph have consented to the Eligible Entrant submitting the photo as part of this
competition, including to Jetstar's right to use the photograph in accordance with clause
10.
12. If for any reason Jetstar is unable to publish or otherwise use a photo submitted as part of
this competition, that entry will be excluded and the entrant is not eligible to be awarded a
prize.
13. Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid and will be rejected.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry where it reasonably suspects that
such materials are prohibited by these terms and conditions, any relevant law, or are
otherwise deemed inappropriate. This is at the Promoter's absolute discretion and
discussions will not be entered into. Images that are considered unlawful, harassing,
defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially
offensive, contain objectionable content or are otherwise inappropriate will not be deemed
valid and rejected.
14. There is a limit of one entry per person and one photo per entry.
15. The Promoter reserves the right to request that the winners provides proof of identity,
age, and proof of residency as a condition of receipt of the prize. The Promoter reserves
the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any Eligible
Entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry that is not (in the
reasonable opinion of the Promoter) in accordance with these terms and conditions.
16. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late or misdirected entries.
How To Win
17. The winners will be those entries judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter
to be the most creative and/or original from the national pool received. All entries will be
judged from 12.00pm at the offices of the Promoter on 20 Jan 2012. The 150 best entries,
as determined by the panel of judges, from the Eligible Entrants will be winners. The
competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
18. Winners will be notified by email within 2 business days of the judging date.
19. The judges' decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence
regarding the result.
20. Incomprehensible or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
21. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winners must comply with all the conditions
of use of the prize.
The prizes
22. There are 150 individual prizes plus one grand prize, dependent upon the number of
entries received during the Promotion Period.
23. Each of the 150 individual winners will receive a Jetstar Flight Voucher. The value of the
voucher is dependent on the number of total entries received during the Promotion
Period. The higher the number of entries the higher the voucher amount. The value of the
awarded voucher will be determined in accordance with the following table:

24. If 3000 or more entries are received during the Promotion Period, the Promoter will select
award one grand prize. The grand prize will be a Jetstar Holiday voucher to the value of
$2000. This can be used to purchase flights alone or flights together with holiday products
in a single booking, including accommodation, activities, transfers, parking but excluding
insurance and car hire.
25. The total prize pool is approx. AU$32,000.
26. The vouchers will be issued in the names of the Eligible Entrant provided as part of the
entry. The vouchers can only be used to make a booking by that person for travel by that
person. The following conditions will apply in respect of the voucher:
a. Your booking must be made within 6 months from the date your voucher is
issued, for travel commenced and completed within 12 months from the date your
voucher is issued. The issue date appears on the top right hand corner of the
issued voucher. Booking dates and travel dates will be strictly applied.
b. Jetstar will not extend the booking dates under any circumstances. Unless
otherwise stated, airfares are non-refundable. Limited changes are permitted,
charges apply. The standard Starter fare conditions apply. See jetstar.com for
further details.
c. You must redeem the Voucher in one transaction only. Any amount not
redeemed in that transaction will be forfeited. The voucher is not transferable - it
is redeemable only by the person whose name is stated on the voucher for travel
by that person. If a booking is made for others to travel, the person named on the
voucher must be listed as the contact person in the booking.
d. The Voucher is only redeemable up to the value stated on the voucher for Jetstar
fares, taxes, fees and other charges associated with normal Jetstar internet or
telephone reservations bookings. The Voucher must be taken as stated and no
compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it as stated. The
Voucher is not redeemable for cash or other goods and services. The 150
individual Jetstar vouchers are not refundable and are redeemable for flights only
(ie. accommodation and car hire cannot be purchased with this voucher). The
$2000 Holiday voucher can be redeemed for Jetstar holiday products (including
accommodation, activities, transfers, parking but excluding insurance and car
hire) if a flight is in the same booking when you redeem this voucher.
e. All travel is subject to availability at the time of booking, the fares conditions
quoted at the time of booking and the Jetstar Conditions of Carriage and Jetstar
holiday booking conditions (applicable when holiday products are purchased). For
holiday products, cancellation fees up to 100% apply.
f. Any additional travel or land content booked in conjunction with the use of the
Voucher will be subject to standard booking conditions.
g. Jetstar Airways Pty Ltd will collect information about you and any other person
named on the voucher so that it can issue the voucher.
27. Jetstar intends to publish the winning photographs on a wrap of the Herald Sun in
Victoria, the Daily Telegraph in NSW, and the Brisbane Courier Mail in QLD, and on a full
page in the Adelaide Advertiser in SA, Perth Western Australian in WA, NT News in NT
and the Hobart Mercury in Tasmania on Australia Day, 26 January 2012
28. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that
may exist at any destination.
29. The prize winner will not accrue Qantas Frequent Flyer points on the prize travel and
cannot use Qantas Frequent Flyer points or cash to upgrade any prize travel or
accommodation. All prize travel on Jetstar will be subject to fare rules and the Jetstar's
Conditions of Carriage.
30. Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is
unable to use the prize as stated. Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or
other goods or services. A prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed
to by the Promoter.
31. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control
of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and
conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing
its obligations and the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) to
cancel, terminate or modify or suspend this promotion.
32. The Promoter, its related bodies corporate, and their respective officers, employees and
agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but
not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection
with this promotion, the promotion of this promotion or the use of any prize, except for any
liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the
maximum extent allowable by law).
33. Jetstar collects personal information about entrants for the purpose of running this
competition. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. Eligible Entrants consent
to the Promoter using personal information provided in connection with this promotion for
the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the promotion and awarding any prizes, and in
connection with the publication of any Eligible Entry. Without limiting the foregoing Eligible
Entrants' personal information provided in connection with this promotion will be handled
in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Statement, a copy of which is available at
www.jetstar.com.
