West Australian Opera presents Lucia di Lammermoor, a romantic and tragic story of two feuding families starring Emma Matthews and Tony Award nominee Garrett Sorenson.

West Weekend and the West Australian Opera have eight double passes to give away to the show on Tuesday, July 17 at 7.30pm at His Majesty’s Theatre.

Terms and Conditions

1.    Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained within the promotional advertisements form part of these terms and conditions. By participating, in this promotion entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2.    Valid entries are those sent with name, address and telephone number on the back of an envelope to West Weekend competition, GPO Box 2940, Perth, WA 6800, or by entering their details and the codeword from West Weekend magazine at thewest.com.au/competiions by 10:00am Friday. 

3.    Subject to clause 12, entry is open to all residents of Western Australia over the age of 18. Photographic ID will be required when collecting the prize.

4.    The winner/s will be drawn at 10am on Friday. 

5.    All additional costs incurred will be at the expense of the winner. 

6.    The winner must collect their prize from The West Australian, 50 Hasler Road, Osborne Park, WA 6017 unless otherwise arranged with The West Australian marketing department.  If the winner is a country resident arrangements will be made with regards to claiming the prize.

7.    The prize must be collected within 2 months of receiving the winner’s letter or the prize will be forfeited.

8.    The prize must be taken as supplied and is neither redeemable for cash nor transferable. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize.

9.    It is a condition of entry that all prize winners agree to have their name and suburb published for publicity purposes if required. By participating in this competition, participants signify their acceptance of all conditions and the requirement to participate in promotional activity if required.
10.    On completion of the prize draw, envelopes which contain the competition entries will be kept by The West Australian for twelve months. This is a mandatory requirement of the Gaming and Wagering Act WA. All coupon entries will be destroyed after this time period. No personal details will be recorded.
11.    Employees of, The West Australian, their associated agencies and immediate families, are ineligible to enter.

12.    All contestants release from, and indemnify The West Australian against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
13.    The West Australian, and associated agencies accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from the promotion.

14.    Entry into this competition signifies acceptance of all conditions.  The Promoters’ decision will be final and cannot be contested.  No correspondence will be entered into.  The Promoters reserve the right to limit entry or amend rules if considered necessary without notice.

15.    15.1    The entrant consents to the use by West Australian Newspapers Limited Group and its related corporations (as defined by the Corporations Act 2001) of the entrants’ details and acknowledges that West Australian Newspapers Limited Group and its related corporations, may, at its discretion disclose and use those details for the purpose of providing you with goods or services, communicating with you, planning, research, product and business development and sales, the promotion and marketing (whether target, direct or indirect) of their businesses, services or products or those of a third party which we believe may be of benefit to you. The details will also be used to investigate complaints, as required or permitted by any law, to enable West Australian Newspapers Limited Group to perform its obligations to you under this or any other agreement and to ensure that you perform your obligations under this or any other agreement.
        15.2     If you do not want the details to be used for the purposes stated in clause 16.1 please write to us at The West Australian (attention Group General Counsel), GPO Box D162 Perth WA 6840, or contact the Group General Counsel on 08 9482 3111 and The West Australian will ensure that the details are not used for that purpose.

16.    ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION ON A WEBSITE, OR TO OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION, MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, WHETHER SUCCESSFUL OR NOT, THE PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TAKE WHATEVER ACTION IT CONSIDERS NECESSARY AGAINST ANY PERSON WHO IS PARTY TO THE SAID CONDUCT.
