TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By entering the “Take The Aussie Bacon Sandwich Challenge” competition you are agreeing to
the following terms and conditions:
1. PRIZE
1.1. The prize winner will receive a $3,000 Qantas Holiday Voucher (prize is valid for 12 months
from the date of issue for use domestically only within Australia – supplier conditions apply)
1.2 The total prize pool value is $3,000
1.3 The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash
2. HOW TO ENTER
2.1.  Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry
2.2.  The competition commences at 9.00am (AEDT) on Thursday 9

2.3.1 Follow the instructions on the entry form page
2.3.2 Enter the name of your bacon sandwich
2.3.3 Enter the ingredients of your bacon sandwich
2.3.3 Fill in the entry form as required
2.4. All entries must include the entrant’s first name, last name, email address, contact phone
number and State as well as sandwich name and ingredients to be eligible for entry. Incomplete
entries or those with defamatory, pre-used, copyrighted or offensive content will be ineligible. It is
the entrants’ responsibility to inform the Promoter if their residential address, email address or
phone number changes during the Promotion Period.
2.5. Details mentioned in 2.4 will be stored temporarily on a database managed by The Promoter.
2.6. The Promoter may use the entry sandwich recipe for promotion of The Competition on
Facebook
2.7. Entry to the competition for each user is unlimited.
3. WHO CAN ENTER?
3.1. Entry to the promotion is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and older and the
entrants must be able to show upon request proof of age and residency.
3.2. All entrants agree to provide the Promoter or the Promoter’s authorised agent with proof of
identity, residency, age and/or proof of entry validity if selected as the Prize winner/s or if
reasonably requested by the Promoter or the Promoter’s authorised agent. Proof of age,
identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the sole discretion of
the Promoter. In the event that the prize winner cannot provide suitable proof, the Prize winner will forfeit the Prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
3.3. The officers, management employees, volunteers (or the immediate family of an officer,
manager, employee or volunteer) of the Promoter and their associated agencies and third party
competition companies are not eligible to enter the competition. Immediate family means any of
the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by
adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew,
brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
4. JUDGING AND AWARD OF PRIZE
4.1.This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
4.1. The judging will take place at 1 Cubitt Street, Richmond, Vic, 3121 at 9am AEST on Monday
10th September, 2012. Judging will be based upon originality, creativity and overall likeability of
the sandwich.
4.2. The winner will be notified via email on 10 September, 2012. The Prize must be claimed
within 6 days of being notified.
4.3. Upon the winner claiming the prize, their name will be published as the winner on the KR
Castlemaine Facebook page
4.4. If a Prize winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the Prize by the stipulated date, then
the Prize will be offered to a runner up
4.5. A decision of the Promoter in relation to every aspect of the Competition is final, binding and
conclusive, and no correspondence will be entered into and there will be no appeal rights.
5. NO LIABILITY
5.1. In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or
significantly hinders the Promoter's ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the
manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to; vandalism, power
failures, tempests, natural disasters, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in
its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same
conditions, subject to any applicable legislation of a State or Territory.
5.2. The Promoter and its affiliates assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption,
deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission; a communication line failure, theft or
destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any
action that may be available.
5.3. If, for any reason, this competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including,
but not limited to; tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other
causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security,
fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition. The Promoter reserves the right, in its
sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action
that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any
applicable legislation of a State or Territory.
5.4. No responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter for late, lost or misdirected entries and all
entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt of the entry into the Promoter’s database
and NOT time of transmission by the entrant. The Promoter will accept no responsibility for any
delays to entry caused by technical disruptions or malfunctions. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for outdated or incorrect contact details or contact details by which the entrant
cannot be contacted during business hours on the relevant dates.
5.5. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the award of prize/s to, and/or to disqualify any
individual who, as determined in the sole discretion of the Promoter, has breached these terms
and conditions or who has otherwise engaged in unlawful or improper conduct that is designed to
jeopardise the fair conduct of the Competition.
5.6. Entrants enter the Competition at their sole risk. With the exception of liability which cannot
be excluded by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage which is suffered
(including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury suffered or
sustained as a result of taking or using the Prize or entering the Competition.
5.7. All entrants release the Promoter from and indemnify the Promoter against all liability, cost,
loss or expense arising out of participating in the competition or accepting the Prize.
5.8 The competition is open to all Facebook users. This competition is in no way sponsored,
endorsed or administrated by, or associated with Facebook. Entrants provide information to KR
Castlemaine and not to Facebook
