Terms and Conditions

 Advertiser and Sunday Mail ‘Kath & Kimderella’ Movie Premiere Promotion

By entering the Kath & Kimderella Movie Premiere “Promotion”, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

1.   STANDARD TERMS

1.1 Information on how to enter, how to claim, how to play, and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions.  Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.

2. WHO CAN ENTER?

2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open only to all resident of South Australia.  Must be able to show upon request proof of residency e.g. Drivers License.  If there is a dispute as to the identity or residential status of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

2.2 Employees and the immediate families of Advertiser Newspapers Pty Ltd, Roadshow Films and any partners or agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible.  Immediate family means any of the following:  spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.

3.   HOW TO ENTER

3.1 The promotion commences on Friday 10 August 2012 at 12.05am and concludes Sunday 19 August 2012 at 11.55pm (“Promotional Period”).

3.2 To enter the competition, entrants must go to adelaidenow.com.au/kathkim and answer in 25 words or less, “Who is your favourite Kath and Kim character? Tell us why.” Entry must also include entrant’s full name, address, postcode, day contact number and email address.

3.3 Only one (1) entry per valid email address per day throughout the “promotional period” permitted.  Entries via phone, email and or post are invalid and will not be accepted.

3.4 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify an entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with the terms and conditions.

3.5 Entrants (and winner/s) under the age of 18 years must have prior consent to enter the competition from parent/guardian over the age of 18 years.

4.  PRIZES

One (1) valid entry will be judged the major winner from all entries received during the promotional  period will win.
1 x trip for two to attend the Melbourne Premiere of Kath and Kimderella, including:
*Flights departing  Adelaide Sunday the 26th of August (Morning) and return flights departing Melbourne Monday the 27th of August (Afternoon)
*1 x night’s accommodation in Melbourne (3 stars or less)
*Transfers to and from the Hotel to the Premiere event and to and from the Airport to the Hotel
*Meet and Greet with Kath and Kim (money can’t buy experience)
Total minimum major prize value: $2,200.00

Two hundred (200) valid entries will be judged the minor winners from all entries received during the promotional period will win.
1 x double pass to the Adelaide Premiere of ‘Kath & Kimderella’ at Event Cinemas Marion on Monday, September 3.
Total minimum minor prize value: $8,600.00
 

TOTAL MINIMUM OVERALL PRIZE VALUE: $10,800.00 (includes money-can’t-buy element)

4.1 If for any reason the major winner does not take the prize or any element of the prize at the time stipulated by the promoter – then the prize or any element of the prize will not be redeemable for cash. In event the prize winner is unable to redeem the prize, winner will forfeit prize in full.

4.2 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.  In the event of that any prize item is unavailable; the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value.  Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners.

4.4 In participating in the prizes, the winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winners grant the promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive license to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

5.  HOW TO WIN

5.1 Each entrant who has entered the competition over the Competition Period and registered all details in accordance with clause 3 will be entered into the prize draw.  The judging will be conducted at Advertiser Newspapers Pty Limited, 31 Waymouth Street, Adelaide 5000. Two hundred and one (201) prize winners will be deemed the winners at 11:00am Monday, August 20 from all valid entries received during the promotional period.

5.2 The winner/s may be announced in The Advertiser or Sunday Mail (subject to the Editor’s discretion).  Prize winner will be notified by phone from Advertiser Newspapers Pty Limited.

5.3 The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.

5.4 If an entrant marks the “opt-in” box on the entry form, the entrant consents to storage of their personal information on the specified companies’ databases and the specified companies may use this information at any time in the future for promotional and marketing purposes regarding their respective products or services including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging.

6.    NO LIABILITY

6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to State Legislation.

6.2 Advertiser Newspapers, Roadshow Films and associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.

6.3 Advertiser Newspapers, Roadshow Films and associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:

6.3.1 during the draw;

6.3.2 whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the draw;

6.3.3 in the participation in any prize;

6.3.4 as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;

6.3.5 due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;

6.3.6 arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion; or

6.3.7 due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.

6.4 Advertiser Newspapers, Roadshow Films and its affiliates assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.

6.5 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings.  Independent financial advice should be sought.

6.6 Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clauses, if for any reason a winner does not redeem the prize or an element of the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.

6.7 If, for any reason, this competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to State Legislation.
