https://www.facebook.com/ISICAustralia/app_128953167177144 ISIC AUSTRALIA – “WIN A TRIP TO PARIS” PROMOTION HOW TO ENTER To enter, individuals must complete the following steps: a) visit the Promoter’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/isicaustralia and follow the prompts to become a fan of the page (if not already a fan); and b) click on the competition tab on the Promoter’s Facebook page and follow the prompts to input the requested details including their first and last name, valid email address, date of birth and Australian mobile number, and submit the fully completed entry during the promotional period. OR a) visit the Promoter’s page at http://tiny.cc/isiccard and follow the prompts to become a fan of ISIC Australia’s Facebook page (if not already a fan); and b) Follow the prompts to input the requested details including their first and last name, valid email address, date of birth and Australian mobile number, and submit the fully completed entry during the promotional period. Individuals must have a valid Facebook account to become a fan and “like” the Promoter’s Facebook page. Once an individual becomes a fan of the Facebook page, they can immediately proceed to step (b) above for all subsequent entries. TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. 2. Entry is only open to Australian Residents with a valid Australian mobile phone number. 3. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, stepgrandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, stepsister or 1 st cousin. 4. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with 2 these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. 5. Incomplete, incomprehensible or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid. 6. Multiple entries are not permitted. 7. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant. 8. Promotion commences at 9am AEDST on 6 th August 2012 and ends at 5pm AEDST on 31 st August 2012. 9. The winner will be notified by phone. 10. The winner will be selected by an STA Travel representative on 5 th September 2012 at STA Travel Level 3, 6 Riverside Quay, Southbank, Victoria, 3006. All valid entries will form a pool of entrants. The winner will be chosen at random using the tool at www.random.org from that pool of entrants. The winner will be notified by email following the judging (within 24 hours). In the event that the prize winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining (non-winning) eligible entries. Names of the winners (first name, last initial) may also be announced in the ISIC Australia e-newsletter. 11. The judges may select additional reserve entries and record them in order, in case of an invalid entry or ineligible entrant. 12. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 13. The prize awarded to the winner as per clause (10) will be a return trip to Paris flying Etihad Airways. The prize must be booked at least 4 weeks before the preferred travel date, with the booking to be made by 31 st October, 2012 otherwise it will be deemed to be forfeited by the winner. Once booked and issued, all terms, conditions, travel validity & changes are subject to airline rules & charges for the applicable class of travel booked. The tickets must be booked by through a specified STA Travel Advisor and the trip must be for departure before 31 st March 2013. 14. All components of the major prize must be taken together or otherwise are deemed to be forfeited. Travel is subject to booking availability and blackout periods may apply. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other STA Travel or third party discounts or special offers. 15. If for any reason a winner does not redeem the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited. 3 16. Spending money, meals, travel taxes, travel insurance, passports, visas, transport to and from departure point and all other ancillary costs (that are not outlined as inclusions in the itinerary of the winning trip), as well as the cost of obtaining any of these, are the responsibility of the winner. 17. If the prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification. 18. The major prize is valued at up to $2,000, depending on the time taken, (recommended retail price including GST). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. 19. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. 20. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter. 21. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate. 22. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. 23. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid. 24. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter and Facebook (including their respective officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or 4 for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except for any liability, which cannot be excluded by law. 25. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the NonExcludable Guarantees, the Promoter and Facebook (including their respective officers, employees and agents) are not responsible for and exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize. 26.
