Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid. 8. The competition will be advertised during The Living Room on Network TEN and in the Take 5 magazine. 9. Entrants in the competition may enter once per mechanic, per codeword for each entry period. However, only one prize per household is permitted (SA residents are entitled to win more than one prize). 10. Entries must be received by the times and dates stipulated in CHART A. The time of entry will in each case be the time the online entry is received by the database. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason. 11. Each valid entrant from entry mechanic one and two who has entered the competition over the duration of the promotional period of Component 1 will be entered into the draw. The four winners will partake in a ¡¥find the passport¡¦ challenge which involves each winner picking a number out of a hat and then choosing 1 of 4 pieces of luggage with their corresponding number. Inside each piece of luggage there will be five passports. Out of the total of 20 passports, one will have the word ¡¥WINNER¡¦ printed on its photo page. The participant whose luggage contains the passport with the word ¡¥WINNER¡¦ printed will be deemed the winner of Component 2 prize. The winner will be required to claim the prize on the day of this event and will have their details published in the Public Notices section of The Australian on Friday 21 September 2012. 21. A kitchen makeover in the winners¡¦ house valued at a maximum of $40,000. o Bunnings Warehouse will provide the kitchen product for this element of the prize, to the value of $30,000 o The winner must select from either the Caboodle or Everdure range at Bunnings Warehouse. o The winner will be able to get cabinetry and bench tops, a cooktop, oven pack and rangehood, a sink, tapware, paint and flooring from Bunning warehouse. o The living room team will design and install the kitchen to the value of $10,000. o Installation must be agreed upon by the Winner and the Prize Supplier by June 30 2013. o If the production team at The Living Room choose to use the design and installation of the kitchen makeover, the winner must be willing and available for the filming of that Episode/s. o This prize does not include a fridge or dishwasher. Total Component 2 prize value is up to $179,000.00 Total Component 1 and 2 prize value is up to $181,800. 23. In the event that the Winner cannot attend the Component 2 Event, the Promoter will nominate a proxy to select a piece of luggage at the Component 2 Event on the Winner¡¦s behalf. Subject to any direction given under relevant State legislation, an unclaimed prize draw for Component 2 prize will take place at Salmat Digital Pty Limited, Level 2, 116 Miller Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 on Monday 17 December 2012 at 12:00 (AEDT). The winner will be notified within 2 days of the draw. The winner will be notified of their prize in writing and will have their details published in the Public Notices section of The Australian newspaper on Monday 31 December 2012. 24. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. 25. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner¡¦s entry is of a type described in this clause. 26. Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. 27. The winners and their companions are responsible for all other expenses including spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, taxes (excluding departure and any other flight associated taxes included within the prize), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances. 28. The four Component 1 winners are responsible for transport from their residence to their nearest capital city for flight departure (Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth). (If the winner is from Tasmania, ACT or NT connecting flights from these cities to the nearest flight departure capital city will be included in the prize package for the winner only). For Component 1 prize if the winner resides in NSW then the flight component of the prize will not be included and the winner and their travelling companion will responsible for making their way to and from the nominated hotel. 29. The Component 2 prize must be used within 12 months of the original draw date and is subject to hotel and flight availability. The prize is not available during peak times such as public holidays and school holidays and cannot be changed once the booking has been made. 30. For Component 1 prize and flight elements of Component 2 prize, air tickets are available on the regular scheduled services of each airline and are subject to seasonal embargos. Flight itinerary may have to be adjusted depending on the airlines departure city and their current flight schedule. Frequent Flyer points are not available from any airline. 31. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges. Once accommodation vouchers are issued they are non-changeable. 32. It is the traveller¡¦s personal responsibility to ensure that they have valid documentation, including but not limited to valid passports and visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the traveller/s. 33. Network TEN and Salmat Digital Pty Limited make no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. International travel advice can be obtained from various sources, including government, local consular offices and the web site of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. 34. Comprehensive insurance, additional options and all ancillary costs (including travel to and from the dealership) are the responsibility of the winner. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner. 35. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to State Regulation. 37. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable media editorial requests relating to the prize, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned throughout the duration of the prize. 40. In consideration for the Promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner hereby assigns to the Promoter all right, title and interest in and to all copyright in any material created pursuant to the winner¡¦s participation in any aspect of the prize (Works). If any particular draw is scheduled on a public holiday, the draw will be conducted on the following business day. 46. Prizes will be awarded to person named in the entry.
