Title: Win Trojan's Top Ten Tools From Beyond The Bump/Multiple Ways To Enter. Post by: Kelly1 on Tuesday 21 August 2012, 03:47:31 am Win – Trojan’s Top Ten Tools
http://www.beyondthebump.com.au/2012/08/trojan/ When it comes to products for review, Dexter and I certainly receive the lions share but occasionally BTB Daddy gets lucky and with fathers day just around the corner I was delighted when Dremel and Trojan got in touch to see if hubby wanted to review some products (plus BTB Daddy almost squealed like a girl when I mentioned Dremel). Unfortunately BTB Daddy was destined to be disappointed because he got bypassed and the Dremel went to BTB Grandad for review. My Dad is a tradesman, he has tools, lots of tools but the Dremel Saw Max is beyond handy, even for him. It’s powerful enough to cut through pretty much anything that needs cutting yet small and compact, able to be controlled with one hand which is great when working in tight spaces. My parents are currently renovating their house and there’s a bunch of jobs that the Dremel Saw Max has been handy for, it’s a third of the weight of a regular circular saw and supremely portable so instead of Dad carting whatever needs cutting out to a work station he usually sets up outside, he can take it with him from room to room and avoid lugging things around the house just to get them cut. The Dremel Saw Max comes in a handy carry case and features a dust extraction port to help maintain a clean workspace (this is Mum’s favourite feature!), a depth guide for precise plunge cuts and 4 cutting wheels tailored to different materials. Retailing at $169, Dad says that the Dremel Saw Max is absolutely essential for anyone who is into DIY, renovations or even for professionals to take on the job. It’s simple to use and powerful, easy to handle and store and perfect for the home handyman or serial renovator. Now I am not handy at all… all that dust, dirt and effort is not for me and while I can appreciate the need for a man to have tools around the home, I would much rather call in the professionals than have a crack at it myself. Plus I have a mild fear of large chain hardware stores, there’s so many things that I don’t understand and the store smells kinda funky. I visit with hubby under duress but am more likely to be found in the café watching Dex on the play area than wandering the aisles with him. BTB Daddy is handy, he enjoys doing manly tasks and fixing things himself, he’d rather have a go than spend money on someone who might do the job quicker (or ‘right’ as I like to call it). He’s constantly bemoaning the lack of tools and the need for tool storage, I’d planned to buy him a tool box for fathers day but luckily there was no need to get over my fear of the local hardware store because Trojan sent us their Top Ten Tools to review (and I am eternally grateful). (http://www.beyondthebump.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Trojan-293x300.jpg) Retailing at around $140 the Trojan Top Ten Tools contains nine essential household tools: Combination Square Tape Measure Allen Key Set Philips Head Screwdriver Claw Hammer Wood Chisel Utility Knife with retractable blade Stubby Wrench Combination Pliers all held in the most important tool of them all – a Trojan Tool Box (500 x 260 x 240) with built in compartments & lift out carry tray. The tools are really good quality (even I can tell that), they feel nice in your hand and most have a nice soft grip. BTB Daddy is thrilled to have somewhere to store all his tools and has replaced some of his older, banged up bits and pieces with higher quality Trojan ones. Thanks to Trojan Tools I have one of these fabulous (is that an adjective I can use to describe manly tools?) Top Ten Tools kits to give away.
