The Road Ahead has four box sets of The James May Collection (each valued at $49.95) to give away. Although best known for his hosting duties on Top Gear, James May has also helmed a series of engineering programs that seek to answer the big technological questions. The James May Collection comprises all three episodes from the series. James May’s 20th Century takes a closer look at some the era’s most life-changing inventions in the areas of travel, space exploration, medicine, warfare and city living. In the second DVD, James May’s Big Ideas, May travels the world to explore the question of whether technology could deliver space-age concepts like the flying car, the robotic human or limitless energy. Rounding off the collection is James May’s Toy Stories, in which May revisits his childhood by taking the toys of yesteryear and supersizing them to make them relevant in today’s technologically-obsessed world. The results are amazing – imagine a full-size Lego house, Plasticine garden for the Chelsea Flower Show and a WW2 Spitfire built to scale from a model airplane kit. The competition closes at 5 pm on September 14, 2012 and will be drawn September 17, 2012.
