Don’t miss your opportunity to win one of five double passes to the Eugene Atget Exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW, valued at $20 per double pass.

The first comprehensive exhibition in Australia of Eugène Atget’s (1857-1927) work will showcase over 200 photographs primarily from the more than 4000-strong collection of Musée Carnavalet, Paris with the important inclusion of Atget’s work, as compiled by Man Ray, from the collection of George Eastman House, Rochester, USA.

“I have assembled photographic glass negatives… in all the old streets of Old Paris, artistic documents showing the beautiful civil architecture from the 16th to the 19th century. The old mansions, historic or interesting houses, beautiful façades, lovely doors, beautiful panelling, door knockers, old fountains, stylish staircases (wrought iron and wood) and interiors of all the churches in Paris… This enormous documentary and artistic collection is now finished. I can say that I possess the whole of Old Paris.”

The exhibition runs from 24 August to 4 November 2012 at the Art Gallery of NSW.

The competition starts 11 September and closes 18 September.

Conditions of Entry Information on how to enter forms part of the conditions of entry. The competition is open to Australian residents only. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash. The competition commences 11 September 2012 and closes last mail 18 September 2012. The winner will be chosen at 2 Silverwater Road, Silverwater NSW 2128 at 4pm on 19 September 2012 after the competition ends. There will be five winners. If the winners are not present when chosen they will be notified by phone and mail. The winner will be decided by a panel appointed by Country Home Ideas magazine. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. This competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on creativity and originality. The total prize value is worth approximately $100. The prize value is subject to change after printing. Express will pay for the delivery costs of the prize to the winner and deliver the prize to the winner. Express will not pay for any other costs associated with the prize. Entry forms submitted will not be returned to the entrants.
