Starmaid iPad Promotion 2012
Information on how to enter the “Starmaid iPad Promotion” (Promotion) forms part of these conditions of entry. By entering the promotion you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. Entry is via the Starmaid website only.
The promoter (Promoter) is Starmaid International Pty Ltd, 15 Bryants Rd, Dandenong, VIC 3175, Australia. ABN 66 853 772 446
Entry to the Promotion is open to Australian residents aged 18 years who fulfil the entry requirements.  Directors, management, employees, officers and contractors (and their immediate families) of the Promoter or of the agencies or companies associated with this Promotion are ineligible. “Immediate families” means spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), whether or not they live in the same household as the director, manager, employee, officer or contractor.
The Promotion begins at 12.01am (AEST) 13/07/12 closes 11.59pm (AEST) 31/10/12 (Promotion Period).
To enter, during the Promotion Period, entrants must visit the competition page (www.starmaid.com.au/ipad-competition), complete the entry form including full name, valid email address, state, postcode and your answer (in 25 words or less) to the competition question “Which superstar do you most look up to and why?”
Each entrant may only enter once. Entrants must enter in their own name. Any subsequent entry after the first valid entry received from an entrant will be deemed invalid.
Judging - The Promotion is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each valid entry will be individually judged (by representatives of the Promoter) based on the originality and creativity of the answer. The judges' decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entries must be received during the Promotion Period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed or illegible entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, theft, destruction or otherwise.
Entries containing obscene, offensive, defamatory, illegal, infringing, inappropriate and/or unsuitable content, as determined by the Promoter at its sole discretion, will be deemed invalid and are not eligible to win a prize.
Judging will be conducted at 10am (AEST) on 6/11/12 at Starmaid International, 15 Bryants Rd, Dandenong, VIC 3175, Australia. ABN 66 853 772 446
The prize is a 1x new iPad, Wi-Fi, 16GB valued at $ 539.00, 1 Starmaid Superstar Popcorn Maker valued at $20 and 1 month’s supply of popcorn kernels valued at $40. 10 Starmaid Superstar Popcorn Maker runners up prizes valued at $20 each. Total prize pool is valued at AU$799 (GST included).
Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation.  In the event for any reason the prize winner does not take an element of a prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize. The value of the prize is accurate as at the commencement of this promotion.  The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of a prize after that date.  If for any reason a prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another item for it, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value.
Winners will be notified by email and prizes will be posted to the nominated postal address.
At the Promoter’s request, the winners must participate in any and all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in any and all promotional material.
The Promoter may require the winner to provide proof of identity, proof of age, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address, or any proof of other eligibility and entry criteria.  Identification/other verification material considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.
The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify entries from, and prohibit further participation in this Promotion by, any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the Promotion or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
The Promoter reserves the right not to award prizes if it considers the standard of entries does not meet the required standard.
The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage in transit to prizes.
If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of State/Territory gaming regulators (if required).
All entries will be the property of the Promoter.  The information entrants provided will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this promotion and for the other purposes of collection as set out in the Promoter’s privacy policy.  The Promoter will disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this promotion or communicating with entrants and to State and Territory lottery departments and winners’ names may be published as required under the relevant legislation.
