Wild Picnic at Melbourne Zoo

 Join the elephants and other animals at the Melbourne Zoo to celebrate the Zoo's 150th birthday.
Melbourne Zoo is celebrating its 150th birthday with an exclusive, after-hours Wild Picnic at the Zoo on the night of Saturday October 13, 2012.

The birthday bash will include favourite birthday party traditions in the spectacular setting of the Zoo after sunset.

Guests can bring along a picnic and enjoy music at the bandstand, experience roving entertainers, special Keeper Talks, face painting, zoo-themed stilt walkers, and a ride on the trackless train or the famous carousel.

There will also be birthday cake and the chance for guests to sing Melbourne Zoo a happy 150th birthday.

Leader has 80 family passes for two adults and two children (each valued at $59.70) for the Wild Picnic at the Zoo on the night of Saturday, October 13, at Melbourne Zoo to give away.

Terms & Conditions – Leader and Wild Picnic at the Zoo Promotion

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions of entry.

2. The Promoter is Leader Associated Newspapers Pty Ltd, 1-7 Chapel Street Blackburn Victoria 3130. ABN: 34 004 337 446.

3. The promotion is known as the “Leader and Wild Picnic at the Zoo” promotion.

4. Entry is available to Victorian residents 18 years or over who reside within Leader Newspapers distribution areas. Employees of the Promoter or its associated companies, employees of any agencies, affiliates, sponsors, sub-sponsors or representatives of the Promoter and the immediate families of any such employees are not eligible to enter.

5. Only one entry permitted per person.

6. Leader Newspapers’ privacy policy is available by visiting www.leadernews.com.au and following the relevant links.

7. Promotion commences at 7.00am AEST on 24/09/2012 and finishes at 5.00pm AEST on 03/10/2012 (“promotion period”).

8. This promotion will be advertised in Leader newspapers and online during the promotion period.

9. Consumers can enter via the following method:

a. Internet – Visit www.leadernews.com.au and complete the online entry form. Online entry form will require name, address, contact numbers, email address details

10. The promotion is one of a game of chance. All valid entries will form part of a random draw.

11. The first 80 valid entries drawn will each win a family pass to Melbourne Zoo’s Wild Picnic at the Zoo, valid for two adults and two children for the night of Saturday 13/10/2012 at Melbourne Zoo and valued at $AUD59.70 each.

12. Total prize pool value is $AUD 4,776.00.

13. Melbourne Zoo’s Wild Picnic at the Zoo will be held on the night of Saturday 13/10/2012 at Melbourne Zoo, Elliot Avenue Parkville Victoria 3052. Leader Community Newspapers takes no responsibility for any changes to or cancellation of the event, including but not limited to event times, event date or venue changes.

14. All prizes are for the specified date and time of the event only. If winners (for whatever reason) are unable to travel or do not take the prizes within the time stipulated by the Promoter then the prize will be forfeited and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prizes.

15. The prize draw will be held at 12.00pm AEST on 04/10/2012 at the office of Leader Community Newspapers Pty Ltd, 1-7 Chapel Street Blackburn Victoria 3130.

16. Winners will be contacted in writing within 4 days of the draw and winners will be published in Leader newspapers on week commencing 08/10/2012.

17. All prizes will be will be distributed by mail. The Promoter does not take responsibility for misdirected or lost mail or mail received late.

19. Leader Newspapers reserves the right to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process.

20. Leader Newspapers is not responsible for any technical malfunctions or problems with internet or network congestion, including injury or damage to the participant’s or any other person’s computer which may affect participation in this promotion or transmission of entries over the internet.

21. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for late, lost, misdirected entries or entries sent but not received by Leader. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter.

22. Prizes are non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash or kind and must be taken as offered. No responsibility is taken for the winner’s loss of the prize.

23. The Promoter and companies associated with this promotion shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including by not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of taking the prize.

24. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster the Promoter reserves the right (subject to all relevant state and territory regulations) to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
