Terms & Conditions

1. Entry is open to Australian residents over the age of 18 (“eligible persons”). Only one entry per person.

2. If you are entering this promotion for another individual, you warrant that you have sought and received their permission, and that they agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

3. Employees of Cradle Coast Authority (the Promoter), Avis, Cradle Mountain Lodge, Cradle Mountain Canyons, Devils@Cradle, Strahan Village, Gordon River Cruises, Tall Timbers Tasmania, Stanley Seal Cruises, Cable Station, Waterfront Wynyard, Wonders of Wynyard, Barringwood Park Seven Sheds and Spirit of Tasmania (the Suppliers), and their immediate families are not permitted to enter.

4. To qualify for the draw, eligible persons may enter the promotion once only, and must and complete the following two steps between 12.01am Thursday 27th September and 11.59pm 31 January 2013 by visiting www.tasmaniasnorthwest.com.au;
a. Register their details to receive a free copy of Tasmania's North West 2012 Guide by post or subscribe to Tasmania's North West monthly email newsletter; then
b. Outline in 250 words your Tasmania’s North West story via the entry form on www.tasmaniasnorthwest.com.au. 

5. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-replaceable and non-redeemable for cash.

6. The prize is only valid for redemption between 1st March 2013 and 31 May 2013. Airline and accommodation validity dates may vary.  Blackout periods and seasonal restrictions may apply.

7. Booking of the travel prize is subject to airline and accommodation availability and The Promoter's Terms and Conditions. The recipient of the prize is responsible for all travel costs to and from the point of departure (Spirit of Tasmanian Terminal, Port Melbourne), travel insurance, freight, excess baggage, all applicable taxes, levies and charges, extension of stay, additional passengers and any other incidental expenses, except where specified. 

8. The promotion commences at 12.01am AEST on 27 September 2012 and closes at 11.59pm AEST on Thursday 31 January 2013.

9. The winner will be the entry selected for its reasoning and originality. The judging panel’s decision in relation to any aspect of the promotion is final and binding. 

10. The prize winner will be announced one week after the competition closes.

11. The prize winner will be notified by phone, and in writing on Monday 4th February and published on www.tasmaniasnorthwest.com.au website on Tuesday 5th February 2013.

12. The winning entry will receive the prize which includes;

Total maximum prize value is over $4,000 (AUD).

13. The prize winner will consent to the use of their name, suburb of residence and image for promotional and marketing purposes and agree to participate in reasonable promotional activities as requested by the Promoter.

14. The Promoter reserves the right to select another entry in the event of the entrant being unable to satisfy these competition conditions or forfeiting or not claiming the prize. If the prize remains unclaimed or forfeited through ineligibility or otherwise, the Promoter will refer to the judging panel which will select another entry on Monday 4th February.  The winner will be published on the www.tasmaniasnorthwest.com.au website on Tuesday 5th February 2013.

15. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for;
a. inaccurate / incorrect transcription of entry information;
b. purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are misdirected, or that are received but are late or incomplete, or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;
c. any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;
d. unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website;
e. unauthorized human intervention in any part of the promotion;
f. electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the promotion;
g. any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying a winner; or
h. any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant's or any other person's computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this promotion.

16. The Promoter will not be liable for personal injury suffered during the prizewinning. The winner must sign and return any liability release and indemnity provided by the Promoter and/or its contractors as a condition of a prize being awarded. Failure to return the signed releases and indemnities will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another winner.

17. This condition does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again

The personal information of entrants will be collected to enable the Promoter to
administer and promote this competition and its winner and may be used to market its services to entrants. The personal information of the entrants will be held and used in accordance with the Promoter's privacy policy which is available at www.tasmaniasnorthwest.com.au. The personal information of the winner may be provided to prize suppliers and deliverers, and to authorities that regulate this promotion. If an entrant does not truthfully provide all requested personal information, the Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win the prize.
