Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. By entering, entrants accept these conditions.
Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 or over who, if they are drawn as the major prize winner, are able to take the major prize travel elements between 13/03/13 and 30/04/13 (inclusive) and 15/05/13 and 16/05/13 (inclusive).

Directors, officers, management, employees and contractors (and the immediate families of directors, officers, management, employees and contractors) of the Promoter, its related bodies corporate, of the participating stores and truck workshops or of the agencies or companies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. "Immediate families" means spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), whether or not they live in the same household as the employee, officer or contractor.
The promotion starts at 9.00am (AEST) on 01/10/2012 and closes at 5.00pm (AEDT) on 28/02/2013, or until Scratch Card stocks are exhausted, whichever occurs sooner (Promotion Period).
During the Promotion Period, this promotion will only be conducted at participating stores (Stores) and truck workshops (Workshop) in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, the Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania. Entry
To enter, consumers must, during the Promotion Period, either:
purchase in one transaction, a minimum of 20L of Castrol RX Super, Castrol Tection Global ES, Castrol Tection HD, Castrol Hypuron, Castrol Enduron, Castrol Agri Power Plus, Castrol Agri AS Trans Plus, Castrol MP Plus, and Castrol Agri AS Trans (Eligible Purchase) from a participating Workshop; or
purchase in one transaction, a 20L, 205L or 1000L pack of Castrol RX Super, Castrol Tection Global ES, Castrol Tection HD, Castrol Hypuron, Castrol Enduron, Castrol Agri Power Plus, Castrol Agri AS Trans Plus, Castrol MP Plus, and Castrol Agri AS Trans (Eligible Purchase) from a participating Store; to receive a scratch card (Scratch Card) (subject to stocks remaining). To see if they are an instant prize winner, entrants must scratch the instant win panel to see if they have won an instant win prize. Major and monthly prize element
To enter the major and monthly prize elements of the promotion, consumers must scratch the relevant section of the Scratch Card to reveal their unique code and enter by either:
sending an SMS (maximum cost 55 cents (inc GST)) from their mobile phone to 1996 5556 stating in one message and in the following order the unique code from the Scratch Card, the number of litres in their Eligible Purchase, the last five digits of the Eligible Purchase receipt or invoice number and their full name (errors and omissions excepted in the Promoter's discretion). Computer generated SMS entries will not be accepted; OR
visiting www.castrolthebighaul.com.au (Website) to fully complete and submit the online entry form, including by providing their unique code from the Scratch Card, the number of litres in their Eligible Purchase, the last five digits of their Eligible Purchase receipt or invoice number and any information as required by the Promoter. Consumers are responsible for their own costs associated with accessing the Internet.

Entrants in the draw will receive one entry into the draw for each 20L comprising their Eligible Purchase. The table below sets out how entries will be awarded to entrants:

Each entrant will receive a return SMS (at no additional cost to the entrant) or online notification (depending on their method of entry) confirming their successful entry into the competition. By entering this competition, entrants consent to receiving this electronic message.
All entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period. Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are received by the Promoter's database and not at the time of submission by the entrant. Entrants may enter as many times as they wish, provided that each entry is based on a separate Eligible Purchase and separate unique code. Entrants must retain their original itemised receipt or invoice to verify each entry. Failure to provide this/these (or a copy of their itemised receipt or invoice) (without alteration) to the Promoter upon request may, at the Promoter's discretion, result in an invalid entry (and, at the Promoter's discretion, in all of the entrant's entries being invalid). The Promoter is not liable for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence due to error, omission, tampering, deletion, theft, communications failure or otherwise. The Promoter has no control over communications networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred. Entrants who enter using multiple phone numbers, email addresses and/or aliases may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute regarding a prize awarded to an SMS entrant, the prize will be awarded to the owner of the relevant mobile phone number.

SMS entry is only open to consumers with an SMS compatible mobile phone connected to a service provider which permits text messaging to the promotional SMS number. Instant Win Element
To claim an instant win prize, the winner must, before the end of the Promotion Period:
if the instant win prize is a "The Big Haul" bottle opener key ring, present their winning Scratch Card to staff at the Store or Workshop where they made their Eligible Purchase and received their winning Scratch Card before the end of the Promotion Period. In the event that there are insufficient prizes available in the Store or Workshop where a consumer made their Eligible Purchase and received their winning Scratch Card, winners can complete their claim form on the Scratch Card and send to Reply Paid 1862, Strawberry Hills NSW 2012 by last mail received on 15/03/13; OR
if the instant win prize is a BP Fuel Card or an Owner Driver Subscription, complete the claim form on the Scratch Card (together with their proof of purchase (copy receipt or invoice)) and mail to Reply Paid 1862, Strawberry Hills NSW 2012 by last mail received on 29/03/13.

During the Promotion Period, the instant win prizes available to won are as follows:

Entrants with a non-winning Scratch Card may enter the second chance prize draw by completing the reverse of Game Card and sending to PO Box 685, Eastern Suburbs MC, NSW 2004. Second chance prize draw entries must be received by last mail received on 29/03/13.
For any of the BP Fuel Cards or Owner Driver 12 month subscriptions instant win prize(s) that have not been won by the end of the Promotion Period, the Promoter will conduct a second chance draw from all second chance draw entries received during the Promotion Period to distribute any unwon prizes. The second chance draw will take place at 12noon (AEDT) on 02/04/13 at Greeneagle distribution and fulfilment, 10/20 Ricketty Street, Mascot NSW 2020. Any winner/s in this draw will be notified by phone and in writing and their name and state/territory of residence will be published in The Australian on 15/04/13.

Any un-won or unclaimed 'The Big Haul' metal bottle opener prizes remaining at any Store or Workshop at the close of the Promotion Period will be randomly distributed by staff at the Store or Workshop to patrons of the relevant Store or Workshop.
Instant prize winners will be notified in writing (on the scratch card).
There will be a total of 110,000 Scratch Cards printed.
Scratch Cards from any other promotion are not valid for this promotion.

Printing and other quality control errors outside the Promoter's control will not invalidate an otherwise valid prize claim. Every prize claim in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured, unless such claim is rejected due to fraud or ineligibility under these conditions. Scratch Cards are void if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way.

Major and Monthly Prize Elements
A monthly prize draw will be conducted at 10am (AEST/AEDT, as applicable) on 05/11/12 (Month 1), 03/12/12 (Month 2), 07/01/13 (Month 3), 04/02/13 (Month 4) and 04/03/13 (Month 5) at Message Media, Level 22, 385 Bourke Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3000. The first 10 valid entries randomly drawn from all valid entries received up until the date and time of the relevant monthly prize draw (excluding previous monthly prize winning entries) will each win a monthly prize.
There are 50 monthly prizes to be won, with 10 prizes being awarded in each monthly prize draw. Each monthly prize is a BP Fuel Card valued $500 (inc GST) each.

All BP Fuel Cards are subject to the terms and conditions as imposed by the Promoter, including period of validity.
The monthly prize winners will be notified in writing and by phone within 2 days of the relevant draw and their name and state/territory of residence will be published on the Website within 14 days of each draw and in The Australian on 18/03/13. By entering this competition, each entrant requests that his or her full address not be published.
The major prize draw will be conducted 10.00am (AEDT) on 11/03/13 at Message Media, Level 22, 385 Bourke Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3000. The first valid entry randomly drawn from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period (including monthly prize winning entries) will win the major prize.

The major prize consists of:
a Kenworth truck to be chosen by the major prize winner from one of the following models:
Kenworth T359A 10x4 Rigid Day Cab truck;
Kenworth T403 6x4 Prime Mover Day Cab truck;
Kenworth T409 6x4 Prime Mover 36" Sleeper truck;
Kenworth T409SAR 6x4 Body Day Cab truck;
Kenworth T609 6x4 Prime Mover 50" Sleeper truck;
Kenworth T909 6x4 Prime Mover 60" Sleeper truck; OR
Kenworth K200 6x4 Prime Mover 2.8m Cab truck.
The truck element of the major prize is valued at up to $412,100 (inc GST) (including all statutory and on-road costs), depending on the model chosen. The major prize winner must advise the Promoter which model of truck they have chosen by no later then 20/03/13. The truck does not include comprehensive insurance or any other accessories not specified. The major prize winner must arrange to attend the premises of the dealer nominated by the Promoter to collect the vehicle. The major prize winner must provide all information and sign all documentation necessary to enable the Promoter to register the vehicle in the name of the major prize winner prior to collection. To be eligible to claim the vehicle, the major prize winner must be capable of obtaining registration of the vehicle in his or her name in accordance with the applicable legislation in the State or Territory in which the vehicle is collected. If the major prize winner is, through any legal incapacity or otherwise, unable to register the vehicle in his or her name then he or she may, notwithstanding any other paragraph of these conditions, assign the vehicle to another person with legal capacity for the purpose of registration of the vehicle;
a trip for the major prize winner to attend the Kenworth factory in Melbourne on a date to be agreed by the Promoter and the major winner between 13/03/13 and 30/04/13, consisting of return economy airfares (including airfare taxes) for the winner and one companion who must be aged 18 years or over from the winner's nearest Australian capital city to Melbourne, one night accommodation (twin share) in a minimum three star hotel for the winner and their companion including breakfast, return transfers from Melbourne airport to the hotel and return transfers to and from the Kenworth factory. If the major prize winner resides in Victoria, flights are not included. This element of the major prize is valued at up to $2,329.44; and
a trip for the major prize winner and one companion to attend the Brisbane Truck Show on 16/05/13 which consists of return economy airfares (including airfare taxes) for the winner and their companion (who must be aged 18 years or over) from the winner's nearest Australian capital city to Brisbane, Queensland, one night accommodation (twin share) in a minimum three star hotel for the winner and their companion including daily breakfast, limousine transfers from the hotel to the Brisbane Truck Show and entry to the Brisbane Truck Show. If the major prize winner resides in Brisbane, the major prize winner and their companion are responsible for making their own way to and from the hotel. This element of the major prize is valued at up to $2,158.44 (inc GST).
The major prize winner will be notified in writing and by phone within 2 days of the major prize draw and their name and state/territory of residence will be published on the Website and in The Australian on 18/03/13. By entering this competition, each entrant requests that his or her full address not be published.

Unclaimed Prizes
If a monthly prize has not been accepted or claimed within 3 months of the relevant monthly prize draw, the relevant winner's entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter will conduct such further draws at 10am (AEST) on 05/06/13 at the same location as the original monthly prize draws as are necessary to distribute the prize, subject to any requirements of any gaming authority. Any winner(s) in this draw will be notified by phone and in writing and will have their name(s) and state/territory of residence published in The Australian on 19/06/13.
The major prize winner will have until 11.59pm (AEDT) on 19/03/13 to claim their prize. If, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter cannot contact the drawn major prize winner (or the drawn major prize winner does not contact the Promoter) by 11.59pm (AEDT) on 19/03/13, the Promoter reserves the right to discard that entry and to draw another winner on 20/03/13 at the same time location as the original draw). Any winner in this draw will be notified in writing and by phone and will have their name and state/territory of residence published in The Australian on 27/03/13.
If any second chance draw prize has not been accepted or claimed within 3 months of the second chance draw, the relevant winner's entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter will conduct such further draws at 10am (AEST) on 03/07/13 at the same location as the original draw as are necessary to distribute the prize, subject to any requirements of any gaming authority. Any winner in this draw will be notified in writing and by phone and will have their name and state/territory of residence published in The Australian on 17/07/13.
General Conditions
The total prize pool is valued at $621,337.88 (inc GST).
Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If for any reason the major prize winner does not take an element of the major prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the major prize will be forfeited by the major prize winner and cash will not be supplied in lieu of that element of the major prize. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. If a prize (or any element of the major prize) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute for that prize (or element of the major prize) another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory if required.

Flights and accommodation are subject to booking and availability. The Melbourne trip must be taken between 13/03/13 and 30/04/13 (inclusive) on a date agreed between the major prize winner and the Promoter. The Brisbane trip must be taken between 15/05/13 and 16/05/13 (inclusive). The Promoter is not liable for any subsequent inability or unavailability of the major prize winner to attend the Kenworth workshop for any reason once the date of the trip is agreed to by the Promoter and the major prize winner. All other costs associated with the prize, including but not limited to any additional transfer costs, additional meals, additional taxes, insurance and other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the major prize winner and his/her companions, as incurred. The major prize winner and their companion must depart and return at the same time. The major prize is subject to any additional terms and conditions specified by the prize supplier/s.
If an Eligible Purchase corresponding to a winning entry was made on behalf of a company, it is at the discretion of that company's management to determine which individual will be entitled to receive the prize and that individual will be deemed the winner.
If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry (including if the major prize winner is unable to take the major prize travel elements between 13/03/13 and 30/04/13 (inclusive) and 15/05/13 and 16/05/13 (inclusive)) the entry will be discarded and a new winner of that prize will be determined by drawing a further valid entry in accordance with these conditions.
The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the competition or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent or effect of annoying, abusing, threatening or harassing any other person. The Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the major prize or otherwise cease to provide any benefit of the major prize to the major prize winner (and their companion, if applicable) if the major prize winner (or their companion, if applicable), in the opinion of the Promoter, is under the influence of alcohol or any other drug, behaves aggressively or offensively, or behaves in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related bodies corporate or the agencies or companies associated with this competition, is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate.
The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter may require winners to provide proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter's discretion.
Entrants acknowledge that there are inherent risks in some aspects of the prize and that using the prize involves participating in dangerous activities. By entering this competition and accepting the prize, entrants accept that risk.
The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage or delay in transit to prizes.
The Promoter's decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prize winners must, at the Promoter's request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in promotional material.
If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory if required.
An entrant may be prohibited from participating in this promotion if, in the Promoter's sole discretion, it reasonably believes that the entrant has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices or annoys, abuses, threatens or harasses any other entrants, the Promoter or participating retailers and their associated agencies.
The Promoter may communicate or advertise this competition using Facebook. The competition however, is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Entrants are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. Each entrant completely releases Facebook from any and all liability.
The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any tax implications arising from prize winnings (including, without limitation, for any fringe benefits tax implications). Independent financial advice should be sought. Where this promotion involves, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non-monetary consideration, participants will follow the Australian Taxation Office's stated view that where the parties are at arm's length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
All entries will be the property of the Promoter. The personal information ('PI') entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purposes of conducting this promotion and may be provided to authorities that regulate this promotion. By entering this promotion, entrants consent to the Promoter including the collected PI in a database, disclosing PI to its business partners, and using PI for marketing and other commercial purposes, including by electronic means (e.g. email or SMS). Entrants may request access to any of their collected PI that is being held, or request not to be part of a database, by providing a written request to the Promoter at the address set out below.
