PBR brings world’s best bull riders to the WIN Entertainment Centre for the Wollongong Invitational on November 10, 2012.

The last time I went to a rodeo (is it pronounced rodeo or rodAo?!), I was about twelve years old and was staying with my aunt and uncle down the coast during the school holidays.

Being such a city girl, seeing all the cowboys and bulls and horses was really cool.

The whole event was was awesome until everyone started screaming and pushing and we got dragged out of the way because a huge bull had gotten out of his pen and decided to go for a wander through the crowd.

So when I heard on the radio that bull riding was coming to the Gong, I wanted to go and see it. Hubby just looked at me in a “you just want to check out the cowboys” kinda way but seriously, watching those bull riders holding on for their dear lives on those bulls that weight up to 1000kg is amazing! As are the falls and the victories.

Some “official” info for you….

The Professional Bull Riders announced that NSW will be able to watch the Top 22 bull riders from the Built Ford Tough & Australian series compete against the best bucking bulls on the planet. The PBR Australian Cup Series makes its debut at the WIN Entertainment Centre for the Wollongong Invitational.

Leading the way into Wollongong are home-state favorites, three-time PBR Australian Champion Dave Kennedy from Kyogle, NSW; 2012 PBRA Rookie of the Year Lachlan Richardson from Gressford, NSW; Brendon Clark from Morpeth, NSW; and Ben Jones from Goulbourn, NSW.

Wollongong is the first stop for the 2012-13 PBRA Cup Series season, with another six stops in two states before heading to Las Vegas.

Tickets are on sale now. Check www.Ticketek.com for more information. For more information on the PBR, go to www.pbraustralia.com, or follow on Facebook and/or Twitter.
