The Green Heart Fair is Brisbane's biggest annual sustainability event, showing residents new and simple ways to save money and live more sustainably. It is free, fun and will be held on Sunday 28 October from 9am at Carindale Recreation Reserve, Carindale. Simply complete the adjacent form and you'll automatically go into the draw. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the competition conditions. 2. Competition entry is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. 3. The prize consists of an energy saving appliance package, or equivalent, up to the value of $5,000 to be supplied by CitySmart Pty Ltd (CitySmart), Level 2, 79 Adelaide Street, Brisbane QLD 4000. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash. 4. CitySmart is the promoter of this competition. 5. The competition period: The competition will commence at 6.00am Tuesday 16 October 2012 and close 5.00pm Friday 26 October 2012. The winner will be drawn at the Green Heart Fair at 12.00pm Sunday 28 October 2012 by a CitySmart officer and the decision of that officer shall be conclusive and no correspondence will be entered into. 6. How to enter: Entrants can enter the competition online at www.citysmart.com.au by fully and accurately completing the competition entry. Failure to fully complete the entry form in the competition period specified shall render the entry invalid. 7. To be eligible to enter this competition, a person must: a. Fully and correctly complete and submit the entry form. b. Be at least eighteen (18) years of age or have the consent of their parent or guardian to enter the competition, and have the form signed by the parent of guardian. c. Not be an employee or contractor of CitySmart Pty Ltd or an immediate family member of an employee or contractor of CitySmart Pty Ltd. 8. The winner will be the first entry randomly drawn. 9. The competition closes 5.00pm Friday 26 October. The winner will be drawn at 12:00pm on Sunday 28 October 2012 on the Green Heart Fair main stage. In addition the winner will be notified by telephone and email. 10. If, after due process, the winner does not claim the prize by 12:00pm Wednesday 14 November, the Promoter will redraw the prize until a contactable winner has been located and the prize is claimed. This will continue until a clear and correct winner is established. 11. Any additional expenses incurred by the prize winner, other than those outlined in these terms and conditions are the responsibility of the winner. 12. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, sustainability or merchantability of the prize. This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability which cannot be excluded under Australia Consumer Protection laws. Any such liability is limited to the resupply of the prize. 13. The value of the prize is accurate and based upon the recommended retail price(s) at the date of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize after that date. The prize (including any unused portion) cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. The Promoter retains the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value (including where the prize is unavailable). 14. The winner will be required to collect the items from The Good Guys Capalaba. 15. Any tax liability arising as a result of accepting any prize is the responsibility of the winner. 16. The Promoter has no control over internet, networks or lines including bugs/viruses and server problems and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, for whatever reason. 17. The Promoter will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage of any nature whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained as a result of or in connection with receiving, taking or using any prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. 18. The Promoter reserves the right to alter or amend these terms and conditions at any time and to cancel the competition without further recourse to the entrants. 19. Important – Registration and Privacy Consent: All claims and entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter requires your personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. If you do not provide the mandatory personal information requested then you will not be able to take part in the Promotion. By entering this Promotion, each entrant is taken to consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s personal information to administer the Promotion, announce the winner and disclose the entrant’s personal information to organisations that assist the Promoter with administering the Promotion and announcing the winner, and to third parties as required by law (including authorities that regulate this Promotion). The winner agrees to participate in any news media activities surrounding the Promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to use the winner’s name, voice, image and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes in any media in perpetuity without compensation. |
