No purchase is necessary to take part in this promotion. This promotion is open to Australian and New Zealand residents aged 18 and above with the exception of those related to employees of the Promoter, their families, agents and anyone else connected with this promotion.
To enter, simply fill in your name and contact details in the online form found on the competitions page. Then tell us, in 25 words or less, who your favourite Beatrix Potter character is.
By entering this competition all entrants consent to being subscribed to the Peter Rabbit eNewsletter, from which they may manually unsubscribe at any time.
The competition opens on Monday October 15, 2012 and closes at 5pm AEST Wednesday November 7, 2012.
You may enter once only. No entrant may win more than one prize. The Promoter, Penguin Books (Australia) accepts no liability for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on–line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems and/or traffic congestion on telephone networks or lines that cause late or delayed entries, or for any lost and/or misdirected entries not received by the closing date.
Competition winners will be judged at 10am AEST Friday November 9, 2012 at Penguin Books (Australia), 707 Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria, 3008.
The winners will be notified by phone/email. You must claim your prize within 21 days after we notify you.
Your prize will be sent to you within 28 working days after claiming the prize.
Chance plays no part in determining the winner. The first five entrants to correctly answer the competition question will be deemed the winners.
Do not send any creative materials apart from your written entry, as no material can or will be returned.
By entering this competition each entrant confirms that his/her entry is entirely their own/original creation.  If such entry makes use of any third party materials, then it is the entrant’s responsibility to have these been fully cleared by the third party owner, unless they are no longer protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights. Entrants will indemnify and keep the Promoter harmless from any claims in relation to their entry that the entry infringes the personal or proprietary right of any other person or third party. By submitting an entry, each entrant grants to the Promoter a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to edit, publish, translate, modify, adapt, make available and distribute the entry throughout the world in any media now known or hereafter invented. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The one person judged as winner will receive a library of Beatrix Potter books valued at RRP $1,005.97 (AUD). The total value of prizes is RRP $1,005.97 (AUD). Participation is not transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other goods or services. If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its discretion (subject always to any direction given by a relevant gaming or lotteries authority) to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. The Promoter may in its discretion disqualify any individual who tampers or interferes with the participation process.
The personal information you provide to Penguin is collected for the purpose of notifying the participants and for Penguin’s direct marketing. It will not be disclosed to any other organisation. Access to your personal information held by Penguin can be arranged by contacting Penguin’s Privacy Officer.
Each participant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
